Lighter pink in the same family? I wouldn't go darker, or your carpet is going to feel like it is floating.

A very light mint green (or other pastel green) might work very well, and I saw on TV that it is a lucky color for 2007, according to Mrs. Matsui's Feng Shui. (-: I don't believe in that stuff, but I like mint green, so I'm willing to go for it. And I think it would go with pink.

Get paint chips or samples from the store, and compare them to your carpet. That will help with co-ordination. Also, if you have a carpet swatch, you can take it to the paint store, and the experts there can help you choose a paint. Second best would be to bring a color photo of your room to the paint store.

If you cant get rid of that sightly pink carpet then go with white walls. Its the only thing you can do. But what I would do is get rid of the pink carpet and have wood floors with rugs throughout the room. Then you can paint the room any color you like.

That depends on the mood you wish to create for yourself
another light pink if you want to tonedown the carpet and have a floaty light feel, a sage or light green walls if you want a more peaceful place, or beige almost white if you a cookie cutter look, dark colors if you want a funky look, or glam it up with pale pink walls that have a metallic overlay. Light
yellows and light blues may make it look like a nursey ...

you may use a darker color in your walls than in your carpet. Personally, I prefer not to loose the scent of a color by using it in everything: carpet, walls, ceiling, bed clothing, etc. The grace is in using only one color but in different tones. I've always thought that keeps some kind of balance and peace in the room. If you dislike this idea of having all your room in pink, you may use other colors like red, sky blue and pale yellow that also look good and you will not get easily sick of your walls. Good luck!

If you do not plan to take up the light pink carpet, go with white walls.

How about a very light green? With white wood trim, you would have a very pretty French combination of pink, green and white. You can find great accessories with these colors, too, including bedding and curtains. Good luck!

I'd pick a taupe that has a pink undetone. It'll complement but will have an adult atmosphere to it.
