This is just a general question. I don't have a car to go get a dog so don't answer about going to get it myself.

People, this is just a general question, I just would like a puppy, I don't care if it's pedigree or anything. I'd just like some info.

Okay sorry for all the jerks out there giving you a hard time. If you want a puppy shipped it needs to be old enough for vaccines and current on them. If it is being flown to you you need to check with all airports it is being shipped through, because each airport is a little different on their regulations. Then you will need to have the owner take it to the vet to get health papers (they just say its current on shots, doesnt have internal or external parasites, and is healthy enough to fly) which you will probably have to pay for. Then they should be ok to fly. The same basic thing is expected if traveling by car, you just have to know what each state the dog goes through requires, in case of a wreck or getting pulled over by a cop they will check that stuff. If all else fails you could call your local animal shelter and see if they have anything in your town you would like. I'm sure you can find a ride to go pick up a dog at the shelter if you found one. Good luck and I hope you find yourself a dog. Happy Holidays

well they fly the poor pup from where ever you buy it. of course you pay for this along with the price of the puppy....all because you want a pure breed puppy from a puppy mill believe me the people from the puppy mills aren't honest they keep the puppy's in rabbit cages they don't see no one till feeding time and they need lots of attention when you do get them.then most people get rid of the puppy's when they grow up. i strongly wanna ask you have you looked at SPCA for a dog the only papers most have there are a good bill of health and they get there by people who have bought them from a puppy mill that flew them to the buyers then the puppy wears out and they say something like i didnt know it was gonna be this much work etc. just adopt

I assume they would put them in a dog cage and possibly fly them on a plane.

Simply put, they take them to the airport, put them on a plane, and arrange for someone to pick them up, and deliver them to you, but you MUST specify that you want them delivered to your door, not just flown in.
