my social security card will come in two weeks, can i use the form they gave me,so i can get my state i.d?

I couldnt get my state i.d because my birth certificate and ss card didnt match, so i got name corected at the ss office.They told me your new card will come in two weeks and they gave me a paper that said the ss number and that i applied to have it changed. My question is can i use that paper at the dmv with my birth certificate to getr my state i.d?

what state are you in and this would help you get the best answer___and YES ...you can use the ID for the dmv be sure to take the insurance card and the other forms of ID...good luck
