That is one of the main reasons I don't give money to homeless people. Because I know that there are people out there working for less than minimum wage to make a living, and here comes this lazy jerk on the street who asks me for money, and when I give him the only 2 dollars I have in my pocket he tells me "You know 2 bucks is cool, but 10 bucks can do a lot more for me man!"

I think all homeless people should be evaluated.. If they are weak & feeble, crazy, or just too old to work they should be taken care of... If they are just lazy, they should stay on the street until they learn to work for their money, instead of free loading off of us hard working people.

Some are ill, some are just lazy and some won't complicate their situation by doing illegal things. Some have just become accustomed and are satisfied by going day to day. When you go about things legally (which most of us are trained to do)....we don't make-up numbers.....whether it be a SS#, phone number or address. For quite awhile we lived in a world without pre-pay phone cards and cell phones and you couldn't get a job without a land-line phone and you couldn't get a phone without a job, hefty deposit, an address and good credit history. People quit paying cash and used checks alot. You couldn't cash a check for mowing a lawn without a bank account and you couldn't get a bank account without certain information like an address, phone, SS# etc. The majority of illegals who benefit from our system couldn't get the benefits 20 yrs ago. No father could be living in the house and unmarried. No way would they allow multiple adults living there without full financial disclosure from each adult. You couldn't own a car or anything worth any money. Cable, phone etc was not considered a necessity, even though it was a necessity to get a job. Go figure. A brother and sister could not share a room. So if you were a single mom with a boy and girl, you HAD to have a 2 bedroom apt or else you lost your children. You were expected to report to welfare every dime you made and that included 5 bucks from grandma for Christmas. You never walked in the welfare office with a ring or bracelet even if it was a gift because it was considered pawnable and you could not have it. Seems everyday I learn there's something that's changed that wasn't the way it used to be. Something that was illegal for me, but isn't now. There wasn't a "white" group fighting for me. There wasn't someone saying this isn't fair for me. There wasn't anyone telling me what "services" were available for me. If I broke a law they were right there to take my children for being a bad example......not saying they shouldn't punish me because I have babies at home and they need their Mommy.

Once everyone finds out exactly what the law is and it's enforced equally......you'd be surprised how things would change.

First of all, all illegal don't work and even some that do work are still receiving US benefits that are meant for our citizens. Many people on welfare or SSI, a government form of welfare, make very little. I know here in Denver they get about $230 in cash and 130 in food stamps, that includes the illegals who, under different names also work.
If your not a citizen of this country how can you work here with out paying benefits like Social Security and taxes? I'm on SSI for a mental disability, Bipolar, which makes hard or impossible to concentrate or hold down a job for long. Even if I wanted to work I could only keep the first $20.00 out of my pay after that they take 50 cents from every dollar I make. On what I get, even if I was working I'd still be living below the poverty level.
Illegal should work or get benefits here and live better than citizen? I hope not. Any illegal that wants to can become a citizen and pay his way also.

Because panhandlers are honest and many don't want to work. Welfare recipients need to work and should have to work but why should they when they are given hand outs? It's time American Citizens take our country back. We need welfare to work programs for citizens. We need immediate deportation for illegal aliens and immediate jail for illegal aliens who have either been deported more than once and came back or who have been arrested on other criminal charges. We need to get tough. Finger print illegals, bio chip them. If they are deported once and come back, give them a choice jail or deportation. If they come back again. The only choice they should have is the firing squad.

Many are mentally ill or physically unable to do the work that the illegals do. There is a lot of lazy people and to get rid of them, the U.S. gave them something like a 6 months of benefits before they cut the people off. The unemployment rate in the U.S. is half that of the EU (but a point higher than Mexico). Now the EU is full of lazy bums.

They have no will. If in truth they wanted to better themselfes, even working for less than minimum wage would be well enough for them. There are many illegal immigrants who take whatever job they can so that they can support their families. Regardless of pay and benifits. If your going to complain that illegal immigrants take the jobs of "Americans", I would like to see some of these jobless "Americans" out working from 4 am to 7 or 8 pm. Getting paid wages not deserving of the job, and being happy that at least they can provide for themselves and their families.

well because some are mentally ill and some can't get hired becuase the employer must supply the citizens with benifits and and legal pay, so No the illegals aren't harder better working holy moly people they are just criminals that can get away with lower wages becuase they don't pay fica or taxes and they live in illegal housing,,, stop being so obtuse and see the truth

illegals are just as or more lazy generally speaking than any American

You kind of answered your own question. Illegals are working jobs that once were available to us. Millions of them. The discrimination is against legal US citizens. Illegals take and take then laugh at the people they've robbed of their jobs and educations. We are not going to tolerate this any longer. Laugh while you can--or as my daughter likes to say "Laugh now cry later". See ya at the raids!

Joe Willy Neckbone says, "it is every American citizen's right to panhandle and more illegals are on welfare than are working."

Can... will.... two different concepts.. there aer those who are born with, or aqiure through a hard life and no fault of their own, mental or physical defects which can keep them from being able to work.
That being said: If they are able bodied, and not completely mentally gone, they shoul dwork for their meals....
