Jesus had to be born a Jew to bring gentiles to the faith. Columbus was Italian so all Americans should be Italians? See how stupid your question is?

Ok... first of all, jewish people is a people. You can convert but is not actually the same, as far as I know. Being jewish is not only about believing in something, is about belonging to a people. Since Jesus and John, and Mary, and Paul were jewish, I think Christians we should have some respect for jewish people.
Jesus is more important than John for Christians, because we believe that Jesus is the son of God, which for us makes a lot of difference.
Do I know it? Well, it is a matter of faith. I am not parroting someone else, it is what I believe, as Christian.

Jesus was a jew, we believe in Jesus so we believe the same as jews but it's modified by what God's son Jesus taught us. It's just updated. Jesus was God's son not John, John helped him but it was all God and Jesus.

Hank Greenberg played for the Detroit Tigers.I loved the guy,but I'm still a Christian.
The difference between a Jew and a Christian is ,we are driving a real car while you are still in "Drivers Ed" .
Also John said about Jesus,"He must increase while I shall decrease".John paved the way and then his job was over, except for busting Herods balls.

Well, to answer the first question, the Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Christ. To the second question, John could not raise anyone from the dead or save them from hell. To the third question, read the Bible.

John the Baptist was only a messenger that someone greater was coming.
And traditionally, the Jews would sacrifice lambs to be like a scapegoat for all the sins they commited. Jesus died to be that lamb sacrifice to the whole world.

Those who believe in Jesus are Jews..in the truest sense. As it is therefore written, "For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel…In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. (Rom 9:8...)
Also, Jewish is a race...Judaism is the religion....both Jesus and John preached Christianity of course

I like who I am. John was the one that was to ready the world for the arrival of Jesus. This is stated clearly in the Bible.
