Nopers!

The .45LC can produce four to five times the pressures a .410 shell can. It's just like a .38 in a .357 etc. One is safe, the other ain't.

It's safe to shoot a .410 shell in any modern single shot .45LC weapon....it won't be worth much in terms of patterning but it can do for some quickie snake charming....but NOT .45LC in a .410!

Buy yourself some good .410 slugs and leave the pistol bullets on the shelf.

No!

That is an old folk tale at best. It is not a good practice to fire .45 or .44 caliber centerfire pistol cartridges out of a .410 bore shotgun. There is a good chance the bullet could get lodged in the choke of the barrel and the expanding gasses with no where to go will blow up your gun.

Shotguns are made for shotgun shells - not the pressure associated with pistol cartridges.

No. There are some derringers and Contender barrels that can safely fire .45 Long Colt AND .410 shotshells. The chamber is made to fit a .45 Long Colt, which is slightly oversized, but still safe, for the .410.

no...never do that..you will be sorry..the 45 might fit but dont forget about head space..yes...head space..when you shoot the 45 the gasses may by pass the bullet and it will blow up in your hands..if they were interchangeable dont you think that h and r would have sold it as a 410/45 shotgun combo..wake up..

There are better ways to kill yourself and make it look like an accident. The method you mentioned might not kill you, and might hurt an innocent person standing near you.

I guess you can try it, but I wouldn't advise it. A good suggestion is to use the gun that goes with the shell you are shooting.
