I have a interview today for a nanny position
And you know how in some parenting book there are questions to ask nannies
are they any questions to ask the parents?
what 5 questions are good to ask parents?

Think of some that would show that you are loving and compasionate towards children. Would you have a problem if I played with your child or do you want me to just watch him/her play alone? I enjoy putting a big smile on little faces.

I'm a nanny. I always ask if there are any allergies they know of, if they plan on having more children, and anything else that pops into my head based on what we've discussed so far.

Food preferences/allergies, bed time, activities/playgroups that they belong to, forms of discipline you would be allowed to use, medications that they might be on, and where they are kept and where the first aid kits are. I was a nanny and these are must knows.

What are some things your children enjoy doing?
What are there favorite foods? Are they picky eaters?
What sort of disipline do you use?
Do you get called into work often or stay long extra hours?
Whats the deal with holidays and weekends? Will I ever have to work them?

what do you consider right and wrong?
do you have a list of all emergency numbers at hand?
do the children have any allergies?
what time do they go to bed ?
do they take naps?
how do i punish them timeouts? corners?
things like that. good luck

I was a babysitter for a kosher family once. Ask about dietary restrictions.
