btw, I apoligize to the numerous people I offended in my previous question. I did not consider the fact that morals vary from person to person, and that your morals are different from mine. Please forgive me. I know that there are many atheists that are very good people, so i have to apoligize for what I said earlier. But I also know that being a good person doesnt get you to heaven so do not misunderstand my apology to think I am taking your side.

No I think that we are having a revival and I know that I am praying for it. The people who claim to love God do not always know him. I believe that we will see self proclaimed Christians being born again of spirit. On TV they had this special about all these young people doing God's work by making their services available for building and medical treatment ect in places after natural disasters and in war torn countries. In the past more liberal non Christians were joining peace corp and that has done about face. We are in revival. As for societal problems and violence it is just the reminder to us as Christians of what the natural human state is.

In general yes. There are aspects that are better, like wider acceptance of others.

But with the incredibly high rate of pregnancy without a complete family, and the outrageous divorce rate, overall we have some pretty serious moral problems. We are really raising a lot of kids in situations that suck. We also have a big drug problem which is leading to all types of other crimes.

Please don't misunderstand. I don't think you will get into heaven either. It is pretty hard to go somewhere that isn't there. Nothing personal.

Please don't say what you said ever again. You should have known that it was offensive and simply false, and now you do. I trust that you are sincere in this apology and will go on to act on that.

As to your question, I think that the United States is becoming more and more spiritual, so yes, I do think we're going downhill in that regard. There does seem to be some recent evidence though that morality won't go south with it, as some spiritualists seem to be coming around to a more mature morality. I think we'll see a lot in the coming next few years.

The apostle Paul prophesied that during the last days people would be lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, and have a form of godly devotion but prove false to its power. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) Jesus said that his Father was looking for ones who would worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:23) It's good that you recognize the plight of society- pray to find the truth and God will make the opportunity knock.

Who cares what you think?

In the 21st century, you believe that there is an invisible being that guards two realms which humans will dwell in eternally. Not only that, but you believe that one realm is your every desire while the other realm is full of anguish and torment. Not only that, but you believe that the invisible being decides which one you end up in, not based on the type of person you were, or how good you were, but based on whether or not you believed in this violent and sadistic idea.

It's just morally offensive. It's extremely violent, hateful, and cruel. I find you to be a twisted human being.

For some reason many think belief somehow equals spiritual. (Read below.)

In the above case, they're already at the bottom of a hill... not yet realizing that for a view, you have to hike.

Jesus had a grand view... but believing you share it just because you believe in him? Silly. And sad.

we've quite some "bands" in my place of birth now. according to danger certainly one of them has some skills. lower back contained in the day to be noted as a musician, you a minimal of had to have a modicum of skills. yet now, in this Guitar Hero era, all at as quickly as all people's a "rockstar". they have rather any use for chord inversions or maybe ordinary scales. The singers can't sing so as that they purely scream and get in touch with it screamo that's ten p.c. voice and the remainder ninety p.c., purely an overdriven microphone. that's the "Now" technology. they like it, yet are not prepared to artwork for it. so as that they celebration in piles and act like they like eachother's stuff. and that's sturdy sufficient. It makes me unwell to work out some new child with a sparkling Les Paul purely hitting sixteenth notes on one string leaping around like an fool. i in my opinion experience sorry for the guitar as that is going to in no way see that is ability.

i think that "our society" ... American society ... has become so materialistic, so success and greed driven, so self absorbed in the search for instant gratification that yeah ... we Americans, as a society, have become spoiled aggressive elitists.

however, i've noticed a growing movement of nature religions that seek to look beyond self satisfaction and towards the appreciation of and concern for the health and well being of ALL living things, for the Planet and for all the fauna and flora on it.

this, i believe, is a manifestation of human goodness.

Well, I dunno what you want in a society. You've got a President who is advised by God himself. The "god party" was controlling the US government for the past 6 years. There are more christian tv channels, stores, colleges and home schoolers than ever before.

I agree it's not any more "spiritual" because of that, but it certainly is more Christ-packed!
