I think you can find the answer within your own question.
First off you are wrong about "anyone with half a brain can tell a Mexican" there are Mexicans who are white who you would not be able to pick out from a crown of blond and blue eyed people. Also I doubt if you lined up Nicaraguans, Ecudaorans, Cubans and Mexicans you would not be able to distinguishing between them solely based on skin color. This is one of the problem with associating an national identity with a racial one, it doesn't work.
What you are doing is judging someone before you know any one thing about them, except skin color and presumed nationality, this is called prejudice. It leads one to inaccurate conclusions and stereotypes. This also leads to racism, which your question displays as well. This is the definition of racism: discrimination (where you unfairly prejudge a group of people) based on race, especially the belief that one race is superior to another. You have demonstrated that you believe 'mexicans' (and probably all latinos) are below you ''I automatically see an anchor baby having welfare receiving lowlife".
It is a fair assessment to call this question and your thinking racist. If it is not please point out a flaw in this logic or my definitions.
Do you know any latinos? Actually it is pretty obvious you don't, so never mind about that.
You are quite wrong about the economy, illegal workers are actually a benefit to business because they dont have to give their workers a decent wage, insurance or benefits. The economy would not be what it is today if it were not for immigrants, legal and illegal, throughout american history.

Because far too many people, like yourself, are too damn lazy to be bothered with critical thinking, and make incredibly stupid generalizations, like yourself.
We have a problem with Illegals in this country. I am not disagreeing with you. And some of them, like our own, are qute despicable, and do despicable things.
But I am not ready to indict an entire group of people because of anger and emotion.
I lived in California for 10 years, and became very close to a family originally from Chile. I am angered by your absolutely stoopid comment about anyone with half a brain can tell, because had you seen this family, you would have automatically assumed this was another mexican family, and obviously illegal.
The fact that you would have been eitirely WRONG makes me smile, along with the fact that they hated Mexicans as much as you do, would have made me laugh uproariously.
Tell you what...
Since most of the people that endevour to particpate in this Yahoo Answer thing are kids, I will assume you are also a kid. And therefore, you haven't experienced enough to develop well thought out, rational and logical, factual, and comprehensive arguements on anything other than superflouous pop culture, rudimentary ideas about relationships, or other insignificant aspects of our existance...

I know a Mexican woman who was born and raised in the USA and she is the prettiest woman i ever saw and i would never think of her as an illegal or even Mexican. Come on and look at what you're saying to us.

First of all it's people like you that vilify my race I am a PROUD MEXICAN/White AMERICAN and if you actually research your ridiculous claims you will see that illegal Mexican do the work that no one else wants to do and get paid far less than your average MC Donald's worker(which you probably work at)and are a very hard working race-You are a disgusting human being especially to racially profile Americans who happen to be Mexican. And BTW illegals contributed 18 billion dollars to the Texas economy alone in one year-get your facts straight before you start slandering other races you hypocrite-I am ashamed sometimes to be half white because of people like you

Because the ones that are illegal have given the legal ones a bad rep..why do people assume that people on welfare are lazy bums who don't want to work..I am disabled and can't work..I am welfare..but people see me using food stamps and assume I am lazy..because some people do take advanatge of the system..and it gives those of us who really need it a bad rep..very same reasoning..You see a homeless person and auto assume that they are alcoholics...some are...some are just down on their luck...it's the stigma attached..but stats prove that 90% of mexicans are illegal

i think of you have issues mixed up slightly. that's "criminal" for a US citizen to bypass south to bypass to and return to the U. S. (to no longer take in place of abode in Mexico, yet to return to the U. S.), and that's "unlawful" for a Mexican citizen again north on condition that they stay completely. that's in basic terms "criminal" for a Mexican citizen to bypass to and to return to Mexico. (as quickly as lower back, to no longer take in place of abode interior the U. S., yet to return to Mexico). I stay in a community the place there are a number of unlawful immigrants from Mexico and that's an extremely sore subject with alot of people. They take in place of abode in our section illegally, and use our public assistance/welfare and that they do no longer seem to be even a US citizen. that's the taxpayers money going for that, and the unlawful immigrants do no longer pay taxes. long tale short, they abuse the gadget and that they do no longer seem to be even electorate. If we've been to try this for the period of Mexico, we would be in a mexican reformatory for something of our lives. ok, i'm completed ranting now. Get your data slightly straighter till now you ask a question like that.

If you can't see why that would be offensive, then maybe you need to be re-educated. I'm shocked at your comments and quite frankly, find you to be rude, obnoxious, and probably a little bit 'simple'.
You don't have the right to judge people you don't know and if someone is LEGAL, they have the right to not feel discriminated against by stupid idiots like you. You are just a racist b-i-t-c-h, end of story.
HTH : )

Well...not only do some people automatically think, "He's illegal." about latinos, The white's and black's have their own little problems. I have heard many black people call white people bad names, but when white people call them something, they say "Discrimination!!!" Well sorry to break it to ya'll, but what ya'll say to us is Reverse Discrimination! Not everyone thinks that latinos are illegal, it's just that more and more are coming into this country, so you never know who is and who isn't.
Ciao for now,
Tara

Perhaps for the same reason "people (US citizens)" get angry when "non-US people" (and there are more of us than you!) automatically characterise 'Americans' as rude, arrogant, bigoted, war-mongering and racist 'pr*cks'!
Which could be because that's the way "you-all" come across.
Even your ?, seemingly in support of 'Mexicans' being given the "benefit of the doubt" is brimming with your real prejudices.
Get a life and meet some - they might surprise you and turn out to be 'real people' - even if not "BLESSED" with US citizenship!!

People get angry because it shows a complete lack of respect for all Mexicans as people when you automatically assume the worst of all of them you see. It's, um, what's the word...racist.
