Basically what it means is to pray for the people who have done you wrong or made you mad instead of wasting time hating them and cursing them. It is a very difficult thing to do. You will be a better person if you find the strength to pray for them.

It means that you shouldn't wish anyone harm. You may pray that your enemies have a better understanding of the situation and become your friends.

It is after all extremely simple. It means to pray for your enemies. However it is never easy.

I don't know how you can not understand that one... but everyone has enemies some where whether they are national or local. We are at war with insurgents in Iraq, killing our troops. You can pray for them. Or someone who hates your guts and you don't know why... you can pray for them... Or you can pray for enemies of the Faith, ones who disrespect Christ. Pray for them too...

it means if someone insults, persecutes, or hurts you, you MUST forgive them with a willing heart, as Jesus did and you should pray that the Holy Spirit will come and live inside them. IN other words, you should always treat enemies with respect.

Pray that they come to know light and truth as you were like them until you knew the light, which is the truth of God. Pray that they seek God and know truth so they don't have to endure His wrath. God will repay all harm done to His children so the only thing we can do is pray that they come to know Him. In addition, anyone who harms another, like your enemy, is only harming themselves, in the end.
Romans 12:19-21
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Read Luke chapter 6. It means to Love your enemies. You offer up their lost ways in an act of intercession to God in hope that you can help be a divine tool in the presence of God to them.

I believe the context is: "Bless your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you."
It's pretty straight forward "turn the other cheek" stuff. You can see My Fan Club doing it all the time...right?
RIGHT?
