Mobile phones in the U.K. have a variety of "area" codes, depending upon the network, but they will all start with 07. Whether calling a landline or mobile phone from another country, the approach is the same. You dial the international access code, which is dependent upon the country you are calling FROM. From practically all of Western Europe it is 00, from the U.S. or Canada 011, from Australia 0011. Then you dial the country code for the U.K., which is 44. Then you dial the full U.K. area code plus number, OMITTING the leading zero. So for example if you are in the U.S.A. and want to call the U.K. number 020 7222-1234, you dial 011 44 20 7222-1234.

uk country code is 44
so for example, in london the phone numbers start with 0207 or 0208. so then it becomes 44207 or 44208
the same happens with cellphone numbers.
