When I am on the IM screen the sound blast does not always work.?

Soundblast includes audio screams, drum roll, cow moo, etc.
The soundblast icon does not appear. It is usually when I am having pc to pc converstaion.
This occurs especially after I have been playing one of the games.

When the sound doesn't work, you should turn the speakers totally down and then off. Then, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. This always works for me!
