What would it take for the "illegal immigrant population currently illegally in America to go back to their own country? Peacefully, of their own accord? I would like to know.

To the user who is willing to wager that I am something other than I portray myself to be; How much are you willing to lose? Put your money where your mouth is or shut your noisemaker.

I don't know, Renegade. We keep trying to get our messages across to our governmental leaders, yet they remain silent. They seem to be as illusive as ghosts. The illegal won't leave on their own. It may take the brave warriors of the people of the land to stand up and show our outrage, our determination to fight for our own country. We have the right to protect our heritage, our country, our lands, our people from foreign invaders when our government fails, and they ARE failing, terribly. Do you have any ideas? I'm fresh out.

Glad to see you here again. Welcome back, my friend.

Why should they leave? They have a right to be here, they pay into a system that they can never get anything out of and they do jobs that most Americans won't do. If you want to complain about them taking jobs then maybe you should focus your attention on the big farms and other companies that hire them, treat them terribly and pay less than the minimum wage.

What we should be asking is how can we better help those people to become documented and assimilated into our society. This country is build on immigrants, we were all once immigrants and now you want to force these people from what is now there home. Like it or not they are not going anywhere. We might as well accept it and start thinking of real solutions.

Australia is a small nation of 30m with high wages, surrounded by billions of lower paid workers in Asia.
They have found if they simply lock illegals in remote detention centres when they are caught for 6 months before sending them back, they do no simply try again as its too high a penailty.

The policy works a treat, but the liberal media have constantly attacked it, and now it's being watered down by the Howard government.
I can predict that Austraila will now start to see larger and larger number of illegals.

The answer is the same as it was last year and the year before. Enforce the current immigration laws and stop illegal employment practices that encourage law breaking.

It would take the arrest and jailing of
all business owners who knowingly
hire illegals. It would also take the
removal of all social handouts,
medical, food stamps, housing,
etc. It would also take Canada to
do the same or they would just
continue going north.
It would all be cured if they would
stay home and work to make Mexico
a better place to live and work. I hear
they are all hard workers and want the
best for their families, so stay home and
make it better. Don't come here and
sponge off us, go home and build your
country up.

I understand the new president of Mexico wants to clean things up and encourage more business so people won't feel the need to leave. I wonder if Mexico got their act together how many people would return.

Stopping the hiring practices of certain greedy employers.
Stop the instant citizenship of anchor babies.
No more aide of any kind. NONE .....ZERO

No jobs and no incentives means they will leave on their own.

It would take the citizens of Mexico to do whatever they can to get rid of the corrupt politicians, and strengthen your economy. Hahahahahahha, like that will ever happen.

cincy is exactly right. nothing more needs to be added. They are here for jobs and benefits. Take them away and they'll leave and won't bother coming here to begin with.
