I think both religions are extremely rich. I am Catholic, but I respect and admire a lot of the beliefs and traditions of Muslims. But I think there is a lot of misunderstandings between Christians and Muslims.

I am Muslim and I have some Christian friends and we get along very well. However, I completely understand what you mean. I have met some strangers who have just come up to me and openly been rude to me and assumed that I was a bad person because I'm muslim. I think the main thing we could do to change this problem is to change ourselves first. Whether you are muslim, catholic, Jewish, athiest, etc. We should keep in mind that we're not the only religion in the world and that no matter how strong we think our faith is, there are many out there who may believe in something completely different. We should learn to be open-minded and respectful to other religions. Btw, Merry Christmas. =)

lol, people follow their egos, rather than submit to God. So he will judge us accordingly. As for dialogue just talk to someone of the other faith, about what they think and how they pray, and other things of such in an inquisitive way and friendly way.

But know, we will never say God had a son...

Why? well read this reveleation

004:171] O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of God aught but the truth. The Messiah 'Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of God and His Word, ("Be!" – and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in God and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For God is (the only) One Ilâh (God), Glorified is He (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And God is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.

[004:172] The Messiah will never be proud to reject to be a slave of God, nor the angels who are the near (to God). And whosoever rejects His worship and is proud, then He will gather them all together to Himself.

There is a huge misunderstanding due to the media. They both believe in the same God. The Arabic word for God is Allah, and they both believe in Jesus. The media needs to stop lying, and people need to investigate such negative claims. There is NO reference in the Quran to getting 72 virgins by being a martyr. The passage mentions "hur," which translates into purity, and also grapes.

I am a Christian. I don't respect religions other than Christianity. However I do respect people and all people are entitled to courtesy and good manners, regardless of religious beliefs. Christians and Muslims can get along together as long as they do not talk religion. If Christians and Muslims talk about their religious beliefs, especially if they are both zealous about their beliefs, conflict will be unavoidable. They can talk about other subjects.

offer an arena or venue, invite speakers and audience from both sides who are genuinely interested in learning something new and sharing valuable, useful information, and finally, remind yourself and all those attending to accept differences and take each other's offer of friendship in good faith.

Learn at least the basic tenants of the faith. One cannot talk intelligently about ANY subject if one chooses to remain ignorant about even the basics.
