Dont , cook the stuffing seperate unless you know exactly what you are doing. Dont ever stuff a turkey in the cavity but if you need to stuff it do it at the back end , actually it isnt the back thats just the way I look at it, that sounds rude lol, where the head and neck used to be and then allow extra time for cooking, Just make sure it is cooked properly. If you stuff the body cavity you run the risk of it not cooking properly and having bugs in it that will make you ill. Why not just peel a onion split it and pop that inside, doesnt stop it cooking and gives extra flavour.

It is not advisable to stuff your turkey unless you are sure that all of the turkey is going to be consumed that day, or if not ensure that you have enough room for your turkey in your fridge. Leaving out turkeys in warm kitchens only causes the stuffing to go sour after a few hours and you do not want to end up with food poisoning!
Try making the following......Melt butter in a saucepan and add finely chopped onions and sweat till glassy (cooking without colour...so over a low heat). Add chopped parsley and some fresh thyme or a little dried thyme. Add this to your breadcrumbs and add a little salt and pepper. Cover and heat up approximately 20 mins. before serving your turkey. You could also add sausage meat to this stuffing but then you will nedd to cook this out for at least 30 to 40 mins. in a moderate oven (170c.340f gas 4)

Yes, DON'T.

Stuffing the turkey will result in you overcooking it and turkey is dry enough. This is because by the time the center of the stuffing has reached a safe temp of 165 degrees, the outer meat will be well beyond that. Make the stuffing seperately.

Corn flour with butter on a frying pan, mix in some currants, pieces of peaches and plums. Pour some fat from the bird to wet the mixture and stuff the turkey with it. I can guarantee paradise on earth.
