Oh yes. First moment I saw the woman who later became my wife I thought of the line from Hotel California: "This will be heaven or this will be hell."

When it happens, you just know.

First side? I suppose it might, people may fall in love with the inside first before the outside, or vice versa.

First sight however, no. That would be lust or infatuation that may or may not turn to love. The idea that we can lay eyes on a complete stranger and love them with our heart, in the blink of an eye, totally trivializes the concept of love.

i feel that is does, but then it takes time to build that love. You can feel lust, attraction or deep feelings for someone right when you meet or "make eye contact" but you must get to know the person before you can call it love. when you fall in love at first sight you are falling in love with the physicall attraction, but as soon as you get that hot bod home and he sits in front of the tv with a big ole can of colt 45 and the biggest game of the year is on and all his buddies are there smoking up your house, and you want to pull your hair out, but instead you look at him and think this is the man i love and still see him/her as the person you fell in love with at first sight then that my friend is true love!

She's right. Lust at first sight. Love comes from observation, it is not vain or selfish. When you get to know a person you make a decision if this person is lovable, and that love hopefully builds with time.

Sure it does. The first time I saw my now husband,I knew in my heart that he was my soul mate.He was the one I had waited for all my life.
He was with another girl at the time, but a year later,we met at a Christmas party. He was still with the same girl who he had been dating off and on.
The guy I was with had just broken up with her.Somehow those two[my date and her] left the party together,so we[hubby and I] got together and now 31 years later, still together..And no,it wasn't lust! .So,the answer is "yes" love at first sight does exist..At least for me it did.

Totally agreeing with the lust thing...
but still, sometimes people's auras just match up, and they connect before they even know eachother...
love at first sight can happen, but only with the right person.
Don't confuse love and lust.

chemistry at first sight exists. its called pheremones. love is a bit more than what occurs on first seeing someone. call it lust, intense attraction, or desire, but love takes a bit of time, you have to get each other for love to happen, and that is gonna take conversation and patience.
