no i do not think that is a good idea. you want him to read and learn about God and enjoy it not see it as a punishment.

The bible does teach a lot about disciplining. About the punishments and everything. Bible verses normally don't change someone's mind. Try to make him grounded or something.

I'd have to agree with your first answer. You shouldn't use writing Scripture as a punishment. The bible does teach about disciplining children. Read up on it. Have a great day.

uumm it kinda depends. you dont want to force the word of god on him. i do believe in making him go to church with you though. i would say no, just because it sounds kinda bad just say it to yourself. he was bad today, so hs punishishment will be to read the bible. you dont want him reading the bible or learning from it beacuse he was bad and a means of punishment. allthought i do think it is an excellant idea for him to be learning from the bible. it also depends on his age too. but i still think no. good luck, i hope everything turns out great.

Depends on HIS faith and his personality. If he doesn't believe in your or any religion than neither you nor he will gain anything from this "punishment." Also don't be afraid to speak to your pastor. They're better at leading the flock than anyone else. Also punishment depends on the crime and the child. My children don't learn from spanking...but they can't stand timeout. So timeout actually works in my household.

That isn't teaching him anything. You need for the punishment to fit the crime. Writing things out won't teach him, it will just give him hand cramps.
