They've both had their water content reduced by 60% but the condensed milk has sugar added while the evaporated milk does not.
If the recipe calles for condensed and you have evaporated, add a little sugar.

AS far as I know there is no difference at all, condensed means to boil it until you have a thick milk, evaporated is the same thing as far as I know it is just boiled until the water goes from it then you have pure milk with all the fats. Some like carnation are runny but something like nestle' are thick, I believe it to be the degree on how long they are kept boiling. Actually I dont think they are actually boiled but warmed to get rid of the water content.

Condensed milk is cow's milk from which water has been removed and to which sugar has been added, yielding a very thick, sweet product that can last for years without refrigeration.
Evaporated milk is a shelf-stable canned milk product with about 60% of the water removed from fresh milk. In the U.S. it is not sweetened. It differs from condensed milk which contains sugar.

Condensed milk has had all the water removed and sugar added.
Evaporated milk has had 60% water removed and NO sugar added.
Not sure if they're interchangable.

Condensed is very thick and sweet. Evaporated is like regular milk..not as thick and not as sweet as evaporated milk.

Well... the simple answer is... no...
Evaporated milk tastes like milk like you've boiled on the hob and is great for rice puddings etc... slightly sweet but but thin consistency.
Condensed milk is a thick sweet reduced milk and is used in mainly caramel tasting recipies... i.e. like caremel slice, banoffee pie etc... all you do to make it into a caramel to be used in sweet slice recipies is heat it up to simmer to thicken further and then is ready to use.
They both say milk and usually both come in tins but that is where the similarities end.
Hope helps!
