If you both have a lot in common and get along great then no its not too much difference in age...I'm 35 and dating a 26 year old, and we hit it off great.
Age is not the most important thing...as long as they are not underage. Its what you have in common and if you both can make it work...anyone who says your robbing the cradle is jealous...your lucky enough to attract an 18 year olds attention, you should at least get a boost to your ego!

I would say yes but there out odd cases out there that do work out but I would say that's more for matured people (e.g. I don't see a problem with 30 and 38 but for your situation, I'm not that positive). Your mentality is too far apart. When you are thinking of marriage in the next 5 years or so, she's still in school and will not be willing to settle. If she's only 18, I would imagine she would like to try a couple more bfs before settling down.

Not really, but some people will whine and moan. I don't understand the line of reasoning that older, more mature males are bad for girls (assuming the girls are of legal age) and younger, more immature males are better. Where is the logic behind this - are they saying she's be better with an 18 year old who might take her to a street racing contest?
I think that maturity could have a lot to offer, DEPENDING ON THE MAN, of course.

Some people may object (her parents for example, even though she is 18.) But if you make it past the obstacles and it is really love than you can make it through anything. Age is nothing but a number, plus once you both get a little bit older it wont seem so odd (you will be 38 she will be 30, doesn't seem to bad now huh?)

It is legal but you are too old for her. I am also 26 but I wouldn't date anyone that is 18. My standard lowest age is 22.

nope i don't think you're too old for her!!!....as long as she is mature enough for you and y'all can get along and love each other ..then age isn't anything!! she is legal so there should be no problem. i think that's actually cool because she can learn alot of things from you..most women that are older figure that they know evrything already and think they know how to treat a man. but in all reality evry man is different and with you being older she will listen to you becuase she thinks u know more..and u can teach all the things u like and dislike and hopefully yall stay together forever and get married eventually

Well shes legal at least. And if she was 38 and you 46 it wouldn't seem much of a problem then even though there still is the same age difference. Point is that the two of you like one another and age isn't anything but a number that states how long you lived...so far..... Wish the two of you the best, good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Age doesn't mean anything. If you have real feelings for her and she does the same for you thats all that matters. As long as you are both happy together it's not that bad. It's only a 8 year difference. Think of it like this. When you are 40, she will be 32. Does that sound like a big difference?

Age shouldn't ever be a MAIN factor in whether or not you decide to spend time with someone. Afterall, it should only matter to you how you and your partner feel about it.
However, at the same time, you need to really look and see what you both would really have in common. If there isn't really much there, then chances are the relationship won't go very far anyway!!

No its not ,my boyfriend is 26 and i am 19 but our maturity levels are the same ,love has no age, there is a song that says age ain't nothing but a number, cause numbers cant measure just cant measure our love...... so don't let your age be a factor or issue standing in your path to happiness
