Nice to see your DULL spear of wit aimed at them for a change...

But, truth is, they are perfectly capable of grasping truth and logic - problem is, the only truth and logic they grasp is circular in nature and is the only "truth" they know...

In classical logic your question is actually an assertion about the relationship between classes. In this case the classes being Christians "unable to grasp truth and logic" as opposed to an unidentified group that can "grasp truth and logic". And as such your assertion falls into 1 of 4 categories known as an Universal. Universals may be either Affirmative or Negative. An example of an Affirmative is "All S are P" and a Negative is "No S is P".

However, the problem with arguments based upon Universal Affirmatives and Negatives is that it only requires a single exception to such broad and sweeping generalizations to render them invalid. In otherwords, if it could be shown that a single Christian 'can' "grasp truth and logic" then your argument has been totally undermined and invalidated.

But hey, what do I know? I'm just anothah one of dose bible thumpin Jesus lovin retads and lovin it!!!

Tchau.

I'm a Christian and am wondering what you are saying.
first Where is the logic in assuming that all Christians are ignorant and uneducated?
second What truth? You must realize that people do not start out as Christians they have to give their will and life over to the care of God. God has changed me for the better and it is all the proof I need. God designed the world and He designed evolution and all the scientific stuff you may be talking about. The big Bang or whatever.
third Is the truth and logic of any comfort. Has it changed you and made you stronger or more honest. What has your belief done for you? I'll tell you what mine has done. It has given me peace and tolerance and love and faith and hope and patience and He is still perfecting those and other attributes in me. I really am not the same me. I hope that you will share my peace from God one day.
Have a great holiday.

Could we stop generalizing. I have a minor in philosophy and got an "A" in logic. Truth is an abstract concept. You have an idea of what is true as do I. The are some things that can obviously be proven to be true such as: The sun rises in the East. However, a concept such as God can neither be proven nor disproven. I have the belief that there is a God, but you don't. For me it's true, but for you it's not. Now, I don't hassle you about your beliefs or lack thereof, so you need to learn to respect the beliefs of others.

For the same reason that analytical people have a hard time mastering compassion.

When you only use one half of your brain then you are bound to have incomplete solutions to the complex environment that we find ourselves in.

Only with logic AND compassion can we truly advance and enjoy ourselves as humans.

I try to practice compassion but I too come from the analytical side and its damn frustrating the way narrow minded religious bigots are seriously screwing up the world by making it a dangerous and unhealthy place to live.

Heaven's here on earth - if we want it. We can have peace - if we want it. If we start using our whole brain we can start cultivating a whole planet, instead of one fractured by illogical fighting... ...and that's the truth.

TRUTH==The truth is Jesus died so every-ones sins could be forgiven.

LOGIC==The logical conclusion is accept what Jesus did for you and have all your sins forgiven.

NOT LOGICAL==It is not logical at all to reject the Gift of salvation, and say---"God is not real", "Jesus was a Prophet not Gods son", "God is imaginary", just to quote a few of the illogical things I have seen on here.

The God which we serve IS the truth, and He is not bound by logic.
So logic serves no purpose in matters of faith, and the real truth has been revealed to us by the Holy Spirit.

What truths and logic? Man's? Again and Again man's truths prove to be false. But the Bible is facts. A fact is a fact weather you chose to believe it or not.

Your question is self defeating. Any Christian who applies mathematical principles, has grasped certain truths and logic.
