This would have been a fightfan's dream! Man, I would pay a grand to see this thrilling match-up. Prime-to-prime, this wouldn't go over six rounds. Marciano would always come at Tyson with all that he has. Rocky has a tremendous heart; only, Tyson has tremendous power. Rocky may have power, but not as strong as Tyson.
Marciano may have been undefeated, but the greats he fought weren't in their primes anymore. He fought an ancient Archie Moore, a washed-up Joe Walcott, and an aging Joe Louis. You have to give him credit for handling Ezzard Charles, though. He was an explosive fighter! The only problem is his heart. His heart will only take him so far against Tyson's power. He charges towards you. That kind of style is a puncher's favorite since he doesn't need to chase the man across the ring and waste his stamina. Just look at what happened to Morales when he kept charging at Pacman. As for Tyson, he only charges towards you when he knows he can. He is smart. He wouldn't charge towards Rocky, or the tide would turn in Rocky's favor. Tyson would hit Marciano with power shots from afar. After wearing him down, Tyson will go inside and then upststairs. Then, it will be lights out for Rocky.

its an interesting question. Both fighters in their prime. I would go with Tyson but not for the reason you would think. since the 50's the science of boxing has improved as with any sport. Could a track star of today have beaten a 1950s version. I think so. We run faster now then we did then. We know more about weight training, cardiovascular exercise, stretching and nutrition than we did then.
With that said I think that "any" boxer of today could beat Rocky Marciano. Remember during the 50's smoking wasn't unhealthy and smoking in the gym was allowed. No sports drinks to replenish your fluids.
I know some of you are saying what if they gave Rocky a equal playing field. Gave him access to today's technology. That would work but it would change him as a boxer. He would have gain mass and muscle and punching power. This would have changed the way he fought and he wouldn't be Rocky Marciano anymore but a whole different boxer.
So I believe Tyson would have won.

Retired undefeated as champion and as a fighter
I admired him for understanding the benefit of staying retired.
This a great bout by 2 of the games greatest punchers. These guys will be pounding each other until one falls and doesn't get up. Both men will visit the canvas several times. Marciano in a 10 rd KO.

Marciano, absolutely no question. Tyson would be beaten inside 6 rounds. Tyson never fought anyone like Rocky, continually coming forward, hitting you with everything but the stool, never taking a backward step, soaking up everything you threw at him. Only one who could have beaten him was Ali, dancing and jabbing for 15 rounds, then it would have gone the distance !

Marciano would lose because he's dead.
But seriously, Marciano would beat him. So would alot of other fighters like Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, Floyd Patterson and Muhammad Ali. Mike Tyson is way overrated. If you look at his fights, he hasn't really beaten anyone that good. He hasn't beaten anyone phenomenal. Muhammad Ali for example has beaten the best of his time and the best of all times: Joe Frazier, Sonny Liston, George Foreman, Ken Norton, Leon Spinks, etc. . . Champions 30-40 years ago could easily beat any of the champions today without an effort.

I have more respect for Marciano, but Tyson is an animal.
Tyson had the better training and the better conditioning.
Tyson, round 2...don't they have computers that can
figure this out...........I'd love to see it.
