Before you go on a diet, see a doctor. You say the weight has gone on in the last year, is there a reason? If you have not changed your diet and lifestyle at all then there may be a medical reason for the weight gain.

If you go by recommended weight for height then yes...you are over weight. A lot of people say they are happy the way they are when heavy. I was about 3 stone over weight after my second baby. I lost it and did feel much happier than I pretended to be. It's easier to gain weight than lose it...the more you gain the more the effect on your long term health will be. Being overweight carries risks. There has to be a happy medium.
You will lose weight if YOU want and need to. In what way is your boyfriend disagreeing? If you are going to drop the extra pounds you will need support not derogatory comments. Build your self esteem and do it for yourself. it's your future and your decision, not how someone else sees you.
Diet safely. Don't crash, the weight will go back on...cut out comfort food...drink your daily water quota...no food with additives or ready meals and take aways! That's a start xxxx

14 stone is quite a lot for someone your height and it would be good for your health to loose some weight. After all if you do put on weight you could be storing up all kinds of problems in the future- diabetes, heart problems, DVT etc. As for what looks attractive, well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally don't find excessively overweight people physically attractive, but then I don't go for stick insects either. One thing though- if you do decided to loose some of the weight don't go for a crash diet or the latest fad diet, eat a balanced diet and take some exercise also. If you are happy with your weight, and like your big belly then that's up to you keep doing what you are doing if it makes you happy, but don't complain when the health problems hit you later on.

If you feel you're overweight id seek a fitness expert , and if the case is so then you may need to alter you diet , and 80% of overweight comes from diet & 20% exercise , so keep that in mind ;-) 4 big macs a day will get you no where you eat proportional and youll be fine , GOOD LUCK And hope you figure out what to do !

No it is not safe to gain more weight....The health implications are increased with weight gain...Blood pressure, cholesterol, Diabetis, are just a few plus the strain it puts on the heart can lead to a heart attack....get yourself down to at least 12 stone, this is still too heavy but is a better weight....There is nothing wrong with a bit of a belly but big is not clever....

well, only you know how you feel about the way you look. can't nobody tell you to lose or to gain weight. only you know how you want to look. you are the one who has to live with it. love yourself and be happy. but please don't over do it and become a diabetic, or have high blood pressure. because if it runs in your family you could end up with it. i am overweight myself and let me tell you it is hard to lose weight when you put it on. the older you get the harder it is to get off. so be very careful please.
life is precious. don't cut it short.

With no regards to looks, you should loose weight for your health; I calculate your BMI to be 33.67 but double check to be sure. It should be between 18 and 25.

Yeah, we should encourage woman that a curvy figure is acceptable and natural but I think you have exceeded that - sorry!!

I'm male and taller than you, yet your are almost two stone heavier than me.. You need to lose a considerable amount of weight. For your height you should be ~ 7.5 - 9 stone max. Its not good for you so try and lose at least some…
