When I was 15, on Saturdays, I would take the bus all the way into downtown (45 mins ride) and stand on a corner to wait for this girl I knew and liked a lot to get off work.
When she would get off I would cassually walk by the corner and tell her I just got off from work too (I lied to her and told her I worked nearby) the we would take the same bus and I would walk her home to then take another bus back home... all that back and forth just to see her.....
We do dumb things when we are in love, dont we?

When i was a freshman in highschool, i had the biggest crush on my friend "tod". Anyway, everyday I'd casually walk up to him and say "Hey Tod, you got any gum?" (It was always my little cute way of starting up a conversation with guys) And every day he'd look at me crazy and say "How many times do I have to tell you, I can't chew gum? I've got braces!" It was so retarded, and I knew better, but everytime I saw him my mind went blank and I'd use that same "chewing gum" line as an icebreaker. I'm sure he looks back and wonders how that senile girl he went to high school with is coping with life.

I once had a crush on an older woman (she was 10yrs older) when I was going through my technical school for the Navy. She was in a another class learning a different system than the one I was being trained on. This was back in late '94 or so.

I found out when her birthday was and planned a surprise for her. The school buildings are locked up at night, but a friend of mine was on duty that night and let me in. I got her 31 roses (her age, in 3 bunches 10/11/10), that were all mixed with white, red, and pink roses and just left a card saying Happy Birthday, without signing my name. I knew which seat she sat in so, I put the roses on the desk in front of her chair.

I found out from one of the other girls that the entire classroom smelled like roses, because the door was closed and the roses were in there overnight until class started the next morning. There was a buzz about the "anonymous" gift, but my roommates figured it out first... they saw me get the roses, but I never said who they were for. Everyone was wondering who put them there and how they got in overnight since the "Guard didn't see anyone or let anyone in."

She eventually found out I sent them to her and she thanked me with a hug. I knew I didn't have a chance not only because of the age difference, but because she was seeing someone... rumor was she was dating her instructor.

It was pretty crazy and I got lucky. The rest of the instructors and staff also found out it was me, but fortunately they didn't decide to write me up (along with my friend on duty that night) and charge us, since no one was supposed to be in the buildings at night, my friend wasn't supposed to let anyone in, and it was my plan to begin with.

Yesterday, my friend and I decided to call our other friend Erin for direction's to my crushes house. (She lives next door to me.)

We walked a mile and half to his house and rang the doorbell. His brother Keith opened the door and we told him to go get his brother. Keith locked him out so he would talk to us, and his mom came to the door and made my crush walk us back home. :)

He only walked us half of the way before he completely ditched us though. :(

Today we came back to deliver a Christmas present for him, but they weren't there, so we left it on the doorstep. We left a thank you note for him. "Thank you for walking us HALF-way home."
