I saved an Excel (2) over existing Excel (1) file.
information of Excel (1) file is replaced by Excel (2)

Anyway to get information Excel (1) file back?

It seems Once i clicked saved button UNDO function will no longer work.

Unfortunately, in Excel, unless you had tracking changes on, there is no way to recover an overwritten file. And yes, Undo does not work once the file is saved, only while the file is open.

I'm afraid you won't be getting that file back. Once you save over a file it is gone forever. Undo will not work after a save. Saving clears the Undo buffer. This is true in any program i've ever worked with. A File recovery utilty can't even help you here. Sorry about that.

If you have overwritten a file then the file you have overwritten it with is saved in the same place and so the original will not exist. Unless of course you have saved the original to hard drive first and then copied over to external source - which would be sensible.

There are undelte progams but they hardly ever do the job write, i think they do overwritten files, try looking one one of the .tmp files, also undeltes are shareware and u need to pay!!!!!
