backbiters, haters of God, spiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affections, implacable, unmerciful. And knowing the judgment of God, that those who commit such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but have pleasure in those who do them.

thelus- a woman, a female

metallasso- to exchange, change

phusikos- agreeable to nature

chresis- of the sexual use of a woman (quite literally)

eis- into, unto, to, towards, for, among

para- from, of at, by, besides, near; a preposition indicating close proximity, with the various modifications corresponding to the various cases with which it is imposed. (meaning opposite of the next word "nature")

phusis- the nature of things, the force, laws, order of nature

So lets put em together ey...?

sounds weird a well its written in Greek.

Lets put a few Latin words in there to make some sense shall we?

To the next question... It is not an issue of forgiveness it is an issue of tolerance. You see If I am a homosexual, and I get saved. I have a sin nature that I need to deal with. I may still have lust in my heart for other men. But the key is... there is a change. Everyone who read my question, including you knew what I was getting at. You are either walking with God or you are not. You are either a Christian or not. There is no partiality with God. If you are Gay and you get saved, then you are no longer Gay but a Christian dealing with Sin. But that is not what we are seeing today. We are seeing Church leaders bless Gay marriages. This is not biblical, and that is the point I am trying to get across. The answer is NO you can not be a homosexual and a christian, No you can not be an fornicator and a christian. The key word in that scripture you quoted to me is "as WERE some of you" meaning No Longer. When you accept Christ... you leave your sin behind you... Go and Sin No more -Jesus

Hey Floyd, my bible says the same thing as yours. I'm in total agreement with what the bible says too.

There is no where written in the bible that it says you can be homosexual and a christian.

I do hope no ones out there fooling themselves!!!!!

Homosexuality is a sin, but it is not the unforgiveable sin.

In 1 Corintians 6:9 , Paul put homosexuality on the same level as theft, drunkeness, & adultery. Every one of those things is a sin, and everyone of them is forgiveable. Everyone of these sins is heartily condemned in Scripture and yet, lately, homosexuality is the biggest, baddest sin in many churches. Funny, the REALLY bad sin 65 years ago was divorce, not homosexuality.

"...do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicaters, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor theives, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swidlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU , BUT YOU WERE WASHED, you were SANCTIFIED, you were JUSTIFIED in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ & in the Spirit of our God." 1 Cor. 6:9-11 ( emphasis mine)

This verse makes it pretty clear that God views all sexual sin equally. Yet in our churches, if a man is found cheating on his wife or sleeping with his girlfriend, we believe it is sin , but that the man is still a Christian, although a backslidden one. If the man has a homosexual trist, we insist that he has lost his salvation. That is NOT a distinction that the Bible makes.

If you read the next set of verses, Paul is basically telling the people that just because it 'feels good' does not mean it is good for you. He then goes on to order the men of the church to not patronize prostitutes! The fact that he had to say such a thing implies that some of the Christians WERE frequenting prostitutes.

It is pretty clear from this verse , that a homosexual can be a Christian, much as a liar, or a cheat can be. God will call our sins to our attention as we are ready to deal with them. Let us face it, salvation did not make us perfect people who never sin. It made us people who sensitive to God but who often screw up, sometimes even sexually. That is why we need a Savior.

The question really is: Can a really bad sinner be forgiven?

There is no such thing like "christian gay".
Let me add another verse about it:
1. Corinthians 6:9 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,..."
Effeminate = a person that acts as a female in the homosexual intercourse
Abusers of themselves with mankind = a person that acts as male in the homosexual intercourse
And what is a solution?
1. Cor. 6:11
"And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."
It says, "such were", not "such are" some of you. In order for a homosexual person to become a christian he needs to get sanctified and justified - leaving that sinful practice, and the Lord will give a new life to him.

My bible reads:

So I guess if you look at your questions, you could be classified as a troublemaker.

The bible, and in particular Jesus says:

"Come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest."

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son that WHOSOEVER believes in me shall not perish but have eternal life."

The word "all" in the first sentence in the greek means..........ALL, everyone, every last one.

The word "whosoever" in the greek means.....everyone, each and every one, all etc.

Jesus death on the cross means that he paid the penalty for our sin. He said "It is finished" meaning it is all done. There is no more to be paid, ever. Hebrews tells us that Jesus sat down at the right hand of the father. One only SITS when the work is done (see traditions of the times).

It is not about behavior any longer. While God does not want people to continue in sin, he will no longer turn his back on them because he turned his back on Jesus. Jesus died the death I should have died and lived the life I should have lived.

That goes for you too by the way. Your statements here are very judgemental. Jesus says "you hypocrite. HOw is it that you will try to take the speck from your neighbor's eye when you have a log in your own eye. Remove the log from your eye so that you may be able to help your brother with the speck in his." (paraphrased).

The GOOD news is that Paul says..."and such WERE some of you."

When Jesus said that his message was to be given to all the nations, and when he gave us all the order to love one another! Homosexuals can be christians! And many of them live in a more christian way than many who know the Bible by heart!

well, in genesis, God created that he made a companion for a man called a WOman. and in the bible it clearly states that man and WOMAN shall become one, not a man and a man. so think of it this way: God created Adam and EVE, not Adam and STEVE.
