I don't mean to sound rude. I'm just honestly wondering about this. Please don't bash Muslims here, I'm trying to overcome hatred.

No, praying is the ultimate purpose of life, and everytime you do it, you can feel the presence of the angels writings your good deeds.

This Surah is mandatory in every prayer, read it, and think how can that ever be boring (we say this part while standing)

[001.001] In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

[001.002] All the praises and thanks be to God, the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

[001.003] The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

[001.004] The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)

[001.005] You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).

[001.006] Guide us to the Straight Way

[001.007] The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).

In a typical day, we would recite that (2x Dawn Prayer, 4x Noon Prayer, 4x Evening Prayer, 3x Sunset Prayer, 4x Night prayer)
so that means minimum 17 times, if not more because of optional prayers. There is more to prayer then just that, but trust me submitting to God whole heartedly is the most pleasurable activity man can engage in.

When we are prostrated with head on the ground we say three times, "Subhana Rabbiyal-'Azeem." ('How glorious is my Lord the Great!) This is true submission to God, and that is what Islam means submission to God.

Lol, in case you studied faith consistently, you would be uninterested in that too. Do you ever lose interest saying the comparable prayers repeatedly back? I do. I ought to think of up new issues to assert. No, the boredome does not end once you're an grownup. Adults pass to jobs and issues like that to pass the hours customary, in spite of the shown fact that it quite is amazingly uninteresting. The time I appreciate is taking part in my family members, yet my youngster is a youthful teenager now and into doing issues together with her youthful teenager pals, I have not have been given the different family members around, and my spouse isn't right here, so i'm very uninterested in existence and attempt to maintain myself busy around my residing house, interior the backyard, and on the internet besides to time dedicated to spirituality. additionally, my occupation and popularity have been destroyed some years in the past via a paranoid delusional meth addict liar who replaced into allowed to persecute me and joined in on via quite a few corrupt people to burn in hell, so i'm trapped right here till Allah provides you me with exoneration against those liars.

It's an issue of faith, I doubt that they do if they truly believe as they see it as the best way to address God.

Same as Catholics who pay the rosary daily. It also adds a level of meditation to the prayers, to find oneself in God's presence because their is no need to think on the prayer the spirit can be elevated...

Don't know, It was just a few thoughts, I'm Catholic BTW.

Edit: On Vain repetition, without putting ones heart int a daily prayer, it will always be vain repetition, with the heart placed behind with faith and belief, the prayer is as powerful as the greatest religious poetry. God understands that not all his creatures are poets.

Here is what the scriptures (not man, woman, child) says on the proper way to pray.

First, Jehovah God does not listen to ALL prayers. Jehovah God told the ancient Israelites in Isaiah's day, "Even though you make many prayers, I am not listening; with bloodshed your very hands have become filled." (Isaiah 1:15) For your prayers to be heard, basic requirements must be met.

An essential element to prayer is exercising faith (Mark 11:24). The apostle Paul wrote: "Without faith it is impossible to please [God] well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him." (Hebrews 11:6)

To whom should we pray?

Jesus taught his followers to pray to "our Father in the heavens." (Matthew 6:9). Our prayers, then, must be directed only to Jehovah God. However, Jehovah requires that we acknowledge the position of his only-begotten son, Jesus Christ. Why? Because Jesus was sent to the earth to serve as a ransom to redeem us from the sins that Adam committed.

The scriptures even tell us to direct our prayers through Jesus. "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." (John 14:6) For our prayers to be heard, we must pray only to Jehovah through his Son. STOP: Jesus stated twice in the scriptures that we must pray TO JEHOVAH GOD, not to him. However, in order for our prayers to be heard, we must pray THROUGH JESUS NAME. Jesus serves as the mediator between us and Jehovah God when engaging in prayer.

The scriptures does not place any limit on how long private or public prayers should be. 1 Samuel 1:12, 15 shows how prayers can range from short to long. However, Jesus CONDEMNED self-righteous individuals who made long, showy prayers before others.

Luke 20:46, 47 says, "Look out for the scribes who desire to walk around in robes and like greetings in the marketplaces and front seats in the synagogues and most prominent places at evening meals, [v47] and who devour the houses of the widows and for a pretext make long prayers. These will receive a heavier judgment.”

Such prayers do not impress Jehovah. What is important is that we pray from our heart. Hence, the length of acceptable prayers may vary according to needs and circumstances.

I doubt the real, true Muslims would get tired of saying it everyday because if they really, truly believed it, they would think they were pleasing God, or Allah.

19:58] These are some of the prophets whom GOD blessed. They were chosen from among the descendants of Adam, and the descendants of those whom we carried with Noah, and the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom we guided and selected. When the revelations of the Most Gracious are recited to them, they fall prostrate, weeping.
