I had a similar problem with my younger beagle. I found that the best way to "punish" them if you don't catch them is to tie them up next to it when you get home. Walk in and just use a loud stern voice (not necessarily yelling but loud) and say something like "what did you do?" Then remian calm and grab a leash put it on her and tie her as close as possible to the scene of the crime. If she gets too excited when you bring out the leash then invest in a small puppy pen that folds up really small & put it around the poop and place her in it. Dogs don't like to poop in their "den" she must realize that the kitchen is part of her living quarters. Leave her there for approximately 5-10 min. You may have to do this for a couple of days but eventually she will get it. Also if she doesn't potty while you were gone make a big deal out of it. Take her for an extra long walk or to a local dog park. Hope this helps! Good luck!

First, you should take her to the vet to make sure that nothing is physically wrong with her. Then if there is nothing wrong, you should ask yourself if anything has changed in her life. Did you get another pet? Do you have a new baby? Do you have another job that requires more of your time and now you can't spend as much time as you once did with her? I had a terrier mix who pooped outside until the last year of her life and she would poop in a place where I could not find it because she knew better but she was so old that she just couldn't hold it. I realized this and did not fuss at her because this wasn't her fault. You should not fuss at your dog unless you catch her at this behavior because she will not understand why you are mad.

If until now she didn't do it inside, my guess is she has a problem. My dog did this a couple of times when he had diarrhea and he jsut couldn't help it. Can you try to take her out more often for a while, so that she gets used to pooping outside again? Like take her out at about 1-2 p.m. again? I know you work, but if you could ask a neighbour or friend to do it?

You could try having a friend or relative let her out to go. Do you work nearby? Can you come home and let her out on your break?

I also recommend crate training. Normally, a dog will not soil it's "den". At least crate until the dog is fully house trained.

use pampers for dogs if you have food down she will eat and poop for you thinking she did good put puppy pad down and put poop on it just tell her noooooo when she does it again don,t scream or hollar or punish her she won,t respect you be kind and loving , sometimes when i,m gone for several hours i put in a hughe pet cage wit treats and toy and blanket as soon as you come home shout with joy and run to the door, and let her out treat her for pooping out-side

I think that maybe she is lacking attention, although i have heard of dogs and or cats pooping in the house because they are sick...look at the poop, it could be worms.

Ask a neighbor to let it out during the day while your at work. At least she is pooing on the floor, not the carpet. =0)

Crate-train her for when you aren't home, that way if she is unable to hold it until you return, atleast she's doing it in a crate that's easily cleaned, rather than within your apartment.

get her some dog litter cause since your not there and she only gets to go potty one she cant hold it so the litter might help control the poopy stay in one place and easy cleaning
