The only time I've tipped a cab driver was when he picked me up after a really bad night, he was a super sweet older man. I was actually near tears and he spent the entire 25 minute drive making jokes and trying to make me feel better, which he did! I gave him as good a tip as I could...his name was Ben, I miss him :( He seemed like 65.

I took a 35 minute cab trip once and the guy spent the entire time on the phone with his friend...no tip for him!

Most people allow the driver to "keep the change" (ie, you hand him a ten dollar bill for a eight dollar fare). OR you can give 15%.

If he carries bags for you, loads them into the car and unloads them at your destination, you should definitely tip him at least a dollar or two per bag.

Some people think tipping is unnecessary, but some of us think it is better to be courteous and generous, rather than thrifty.

cab fare is super costly...............
you tip a bus driver?
airline pilot?

hack driver -no tip needed. unless they helped loaded bags or some other aid. maybe waited for you while you made an extra stop or something.. common sense..

just a hack ride from a to b....no tip.

Let them keep the change from the fair if you feel need to tip.

I don't believe it tipping. If I get a quoted price somewhere that is what I pay no exceptions.
