I believe there is some evidence suggesting that the birth of Jesus Christ was in April not December. The evidence is linked to the three wise men who followed the star. Astronomy experts found the information using sophisticated computer technology... they used historical recorded star/planet movements of the night skies. I think Guitarman below may be correct. Sometimes I wonder whether we all should stop celebrating Christmas with Santa's, Christmas trees, etc. I like to make God the focus of my celebration at Christmas time. I don't like the idea of children being mislead into believing in the Santa fairytale. It seems they are being taught indirectly to worship Saint Nicholas, which would be against one of God's 10 Commandments.

Actually it is not. Christmas was celebrated in the early church on the day of the epiphany (6th of January). And it is said that the right birth day of Jesus was in August.

Christmas is about the birth of Christ. People have corrupted the true meaning of Christmas with Santa, Rudolph and a pine tree.

Actually, if you wanna get technical - Christmas is just the day we recognize our Savior's birth. He actually wasn't even born in winter.
