i eat a lot of times a day... but its tempting to snack on holiday cookies and the like instead of fruit and it gets really annoying to be hungry after you JUST ate a few hours ago!!!!!!!!!!! so i want food that has low calories but will keep me a full for a bit . help please?

carrot sticks/celery with low fat ranch
hummus and low fat triscuit
Baked tostitos and salsa
apple slices with peanut butter
graham crackers
banana

Even though some of these may not be low cal, they are high in protein which is filling and will help regulate your blood sugar so you don't have that starved feeling.

foods high in fiber will keep you full longer. also combining food items like proteins and fats. the problem is that you are not really hungry. what is happening is that you are eating a lot of foods with simple sugars which is causing your blood sugar levels to rise rapidly. when this happens the body secretes more insulin to clear blood sugar. when insulin spikes your body goes into a hypoglycemic state (low blood sugar) which makes you feel hungry.

it's a viscous cycle...

Fix yourself some carrot and celery sticks and keep them in water in the refrigerator. Other veggies also, seeds, popcorn without the butter

water, veggies, fruits, protein, and fiber all keep you full for a long time.
