Im usually 100% behind the government, and Bush is a pretty good president, not the best, but good (A hell of alot better than Kerry would have been) I supported CONGRESS voting to go into Iraq (Thats right, the President cant declare war, only Congress can).

So another question; why is Bush the one being blamed when it was mostly Congress and the UN that pushed for the war? The UN; which means alot of countries supported the war, along w/ alot of the American Public, remember in 2003?

But after we took out there 86,000 man Army, started a new government, captured there leader, and have killed 28,000-36,000 Iraqi Insurgents; AMERICAS JOB IS DONE. America fought for its own freedom against a world superpower w/ untrained farmers; Im assuming we can let Iraq fight against a few rebels w/ little military training, w/ their new Army we trained for them.

We went in; we kicked @ss, our job is done. Now its time for us to withdrawl.

So the main question here; why are we still there? And for all you who are about to say Bush; stop getting all your political information from FOX News and CNN. THe main reason is that the IRAQI GOVERNMENT votes for America to stay (Yes they do) I dont know how often they vote on it but they have numerous times. And every single time they voted for America to stay. (Odds always 55%+ for America to stay) But we cant let the Iraqis tell us whether to stay or not, and thats what our GOVERNMENT is going (Not all Bush), theyre waiting for the Iraqis to give us the OK to leave. Of course they want us to stay, us there means less Iraqi Army casualties. We're being taken advantage of, and need to leave ASAP.

So...

-Why is everyone blaming Bush when the UN and Congress were the main supporters for War?
-Why isnt the GOVERNMENT (Not Bush) pulling out yet?

You have alot of great points here. The reason president Bush gets blamed for everything is because if you look at history and all the past Presidents, all of the past Republican presidents get blamed for everything bad happening and all the Dems get kudos for doing absolutely nothing. I mean yea, I will give Clinton a little credit the economy was good under him. But what the he** else did the man do for this country? He did nothing else, and he is getting all this credit, just cause he didn't lead us into a war. I personally like President Bush. I think he is a strong leader.

Yeah, you're right about the Iraqis wanting us to stay. Bush gets a lot of the blame because he sends the military, Congress never officially declared it a war. The Iraqis (at the least the ones that I met) do not seem to be really thrilled at the idea of being in charge in of their own independence. How many generations have gone past since they weren't ruled by a dictator, or England? I don't think they have a really good idea of how to do it, so they want to keep us around to do it for them. Even the United States took a while to get on feet in the beginning.

As far as the U. S. goes, we are trying to keep them as an ally nation, assuming they get up and running on their own before the end of time, and they have lots of oil to give us in repayment IF we can get their democracy working, insurgency suppressed, and civil war avoided.

And no, we are not getting our a**es kicked. The only news they show is death and destruction. That is not the entirety of what is going on. If you don't believe me, join the Marines and go see for yourself.

Number one in September 2001, Congress authorized President Bush "to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons " So get your facts right Number two Colin Powell and Rumsfeld feed the U.N. some bull about Weapons of Mass Destruction which have yet to turn up Number three your in so deep if you pull out Iraq will be a mess the the U.N. will have to go in and clean up and I hope you know that the U.S. makes up 72 % of the U.N. forces so that means we will be right back over there......Its congress fault for give Bush any more power than he already had...But it is directly Bush's Fault that Americans have to die every day for what ?

You think the UN supported the war? What planet you on? Our job is done???? If you break it it's yours...ever heard of that. Congress did NOT push for the war, they gave Bush power to go to war when and how he wanted...Bush PUSHED for it, congress approved of it. Bush has lied and lied about the war...Why did we go there? Weapons of Mass Distruction? We did not kick ***...we're getting our asses kicked.
