I have never marinated a ham. I think a brown sugar/honey glaze when cooking would be better.

Here's how I cook mine. 1 can of sliced pineapples, reserve juice
1 jar of marchino cherries
1/3 cup brown sugar
Whole cloves

Moisten the sugar with pineapple juice. Rub mixture all over ham. Place rings of pineapple all over the top of the ham with a cherry in the center. Hold the pineapple and cherries on with whole cloves.

You can make a sauce with dry mustard, cloves, fresh ginger, water and vinegar, forgot the brown sugar or maple syrup. Boil it and serve it with the ham or over it..Chuck in some pineapple if you like..or you can try out this.........COOKS.COM.............. they have a multitude of good stuff.!

I baste it in Pepsi, it's the best! Slightly sweet without the icky slime of a glaze!
