like if a guitar music sheet says to play the C chord would I play C on the ukulele? Or like it is on guitar? How would this be determined?

No. Ukeleles are tuned differently. You'll have to find a chart that gives you the tuning for a ukelele and then figure out where the notes C G and E are and find the most comfortable position to play them.

The fingering will be different if you are playing a soprano ukulele. It is usually tuned to a C6 chord (second inversion) the notes being G-C-E-A from top to bottom string if you are holding it. The G string should be tuned to the pitch between the E and A strings and the C should correspond to middle-C on a piano. These ukes are very small, about 20 to 22 inches. If you are playing a baritone uke the tuning is the same as the 1st through the 4th (or the highest pitched) strings of a guitar. These are D-G-B-E, lowest to highest. These instruments are usually closer to 30 inches in length.

Regardless of the instrument, if the sheet music says to play a C chord you should play a C chord on the uke using the same chord tones that you would on a guitar or any instrument. The fingering on the uke might be very different than the guitar though and I would suggest getting a chord book for the ukulele that you have to make the transition as quick and easy as possible.

Yes. Just use the fingering for the highest 4 strings from the 6 string chord listings.
