You can go to Internationalstarregistry.com and for not too much money, you can get a star registered to her, you can name it for her, they'll send you a star chart, and info on when and from where you'll be able to see it in the sky. It's a pretty original gift. That's what I got for my mom.

It depends on what she likes. If she likes drinking coffee or tea, you can't go wrong with starbucks. You could get her perfume. Or you could get her a very expensive digital camera or one of those dvd camcorders
