Phil, this is a very mild dose and will work as long as you take properly. paxil or the generic paroxetine comes in a time released form too....I would inquire about the time released form..also Effexor XR extended release is a great medication.you have to be patient depression medications take time to work but they work .....going back to work is the best advice I can give seeing has how I don't know much about your medical history..but I will tell you communication with your doctor is relevant and a must ....be well my friend kara

Going back to work may help, but the Paxil will help, too, if you are chemically in need of it. If it doesn't, your doctor will most likely try other medications to help with your depression. Good luck. It often takes about two weeks to feel the full effect of the medication.

It should help, but everyone is different, you have to give it some time. That's the key, it's usually not gonna have full effect in a day or two, it takes a couple of weeks at least!

For all depression medicine, it takes around two weeks before you feel any results.
