When women are single the consequence is they have to compromise on the Quality of guy they seek. But it seems like once in a relationship they just don't care.

Yes , a guy may very well think she wants out of the relationship if she makes no effort to maintane he looks.

maybe it's because she loves you and she no longer feels that she has to be competing for your attention... she may think you love her for who she is.. and not just her looks

They probably do feel that there should NOT be any consequences, but there are. They probably feel insecure about themselves and worry that their man will be looking at other women (or maybe even doing more than looking). A woman must be in denial if she thinks there wouldn't be any consequences to getting fat. I know that sounds bad but unfortunatly it's the truth.

Ditto with guys.
I work a very demanding physical job,
always have. I run 5 times a week.
I'm in really good shape, but my ex bf let everything slide, and then had the nerve to make me feel bad about myself.
Of course I dumped him because I was no longer attracted to him.
so its not just women that turn into slobs when they feel secure.

They begin to feel comfortable and are able to enjoy themselves without the worry of someone not being interested in them anymore. Take it as a compliment that she enjoys you and feels comfortable enough around you to be the person she truly is.

Seems like you are only interested in someones appearance and you are not looking at the person inside. What difference does a number make when you are suppose to love someone? Maybe you should date a mirror since you are so prefect.

They probably want to get rid of the guy but are too nice to actually dump him. But he doesn't get the picture so they try harder and harder and get fatter and fatter. The apathetic dewd just complains and doesn't get the hint. And eventually they are both miserable.

I DON'T AGREE. WHEN PEOPLE MARRY, THEY USUALLY FIND THEMSELVES AT HOME MORE AND NOT OUT RUNNING AROUND. ALSO AFTER KIDS, LADIES BODIES CHANGE. SOME STAY THIN AND OTHERS GAIN. I DON'T THINK ALL OF THE BIGGER LADIES REALLY WANT TO BE THAT SIZE. HUBBY'S GAIN ALSO. IT'S NOT JUST THE WOMEN.
