Well, there are really only two emotions, love and hate; (hate likes to masquerade as 'fear'), all other emotions are combinations of these. Rarely does any human feel 'pure' love or even 'pure' hate.....but, those time when you feel good, and particularly when you feel good about yourself, you are beginning to experience your own love for yourself. When you start to appreciate or cherish others that you know, that's love. Every positive feeling, situation, or thought anyone could ever have can be traced back to love. Every negative feeling, situation, or thought anyone could ever have can be traced back to hate (fear). Unfortunately almost all feelings, situations, and thoughts that we experience in life are a mixture of positive and negative.

God's love is pure.
Sometimes He inspires or expresses Himself thru people who are filled with hatred or fear, and so they filter His expression, and write that He is angry, jealous, vengeful, etc. That's just a lack of understanding on their part. Anger is most often a negative reaction to not having enough power to properly deal with a situation, but God is Omnipotent, so there would never be any need for Him to get angry. Jealousy stems from a lack of knowledge, but God is Omniscient. Revenge happens in reaction to being hurt in some way, but God is Invulnerable. So the thing to do when you read that God is angry, or jealous, or vengeful, or having some kind of negative reaction, is to read over the verse again and again, meditate on it and on the context, pray to Jesus and/or Ruach (the comforter), and ask for a clearer understanding of the events covered by that verse. Know that you are limited, so the infinite answer given you is filtered by your current limitations, by your thoughts, feelings, and basic reactions (which are subject to change as you grow), so while the answer given you is correct and infinite, you will only be able to perceive a portion of it, a portion that fits you, your reactions, your ways, and your beliefs.

Love your neighbour as yourself . Examine how do you feel about yourself then turn it 180 degrees away from yourself to some one or some thing else . This only works if you feel good about yourself .
If you feel bad about yourself and some one gives you the time of day and maybe a bit of support , ta-da ! you just got a dollop of it .
A mothers love , a Fathers love , the love of a child for its parents or brothers or sisters . If none of that does it how you feel about money in the bank ?! Or maybe how you feel about winding folks up on here ?? Man ,something must give you that warm feeling !
God ? you will not corner him that way , He is always just around the next one beckoning you to follow .just like you are doing .

Well, if you are going by the Bible text that defines God's personality as being love, then you ought also go by the Bible text that defines love:
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
--1 Corinthians 13: 4-7, New International Version
A little insight into the word love, in the original Greek text, they used the word Agape. Greek as several different words for love, but Agape in particular is an unconditional love, meaning that God loves us unconditionally, as implied in "not easily angered" and "keeps no record of wrongs."

Well, love is 'worshiped' by some, so I guess you can say that love is God, or the reverse, God is love...Love is a feeling, an action, a power, a driving force.--------It is an almost overwhelming sense of appreciation and affirmation.

Love is a life changing event that you can't avoid or look for. Like a car accident. JG Ballard: 'Crash'. Queen: 'Pain And Pleasure'. (I have been taking these tablets ever since).

Being patient enough to put up with hatred, bigotry, and just plain sarcasm, keeping the door open for the child who has spit on you, cursed you, hurt you, and left you for dead.....
Have you ever been loved like that?
I have.....
