Actually, "overwhelming force" was Colin Powell's idea. It would have worked. Bush's first blunder (the false premises we began with aside) was forcing Powell into an early resignation. Whether you agree with the policy or not, you have to admit that Powell is a very smart man and he knew what he was doing. This retarded Rumsfeld doctorine is what created this mess.
And you're absolutely right. It does take greater courage to admit mistake, and it's an honorable thing. God, I wish we had a courageous president instead of this whimpy fruitcake. I wouldn't suddenly support him if he admitted his mistakes, but my ears would perk up and I'd give the guy a chance to redeem himself. It will never happen, though.

Bush admit that he is wrong...........now that's a good one. Best laugh I've had since he shock and awed them.
Yes, absolutely, the whole world would be in shock and gasp for air. There would be spontaneous celebrations in the streets, everywhere.

lol you must be kidding. i wish he would or could send the troops home I've been there to Iraq 2 times. do you understand that the Muslims there wanna kill English and Americans just cause we are not Muslim. we are infidels that means non Muslims why do you think they attacked us in newyork. getting or troops out would only mean another attack. the 2 tours of duty i did in Iraq i never met one person that didn't wanna be there. you can ask about pulling them out but know the whole story and please don't listen to the news.we are there to protect ourselves and family's and remember it will always be a all volunteer military. there wont be a draft ever again i don't care what the politicians say.

Too late.
Now that the Democrats are going to be in power, they have decided they want Victory.
Democrats now want to win.
Where is that going to leave these little kid anti-war freaks? I think the Democrats may have betrayed them.
Is anyone surprised? No.

It would show true leadership and responsibility. Nice thought, but don't expect him to ever do that.

No because liberals will find fault in anything any conservative does. Liberals are just power hungry and will do anything, sink to any level to get it back.

Well then he will fall out of favor with everyone else including the Iraqi people and all of the other countries that are with us in the Coalition.
Just because you are ignorant of the facts doesn't mean that they are in fact wrong.

He's not wrong, so he would lose my support if he made such an erronious statement.
