Depends...

An atheist oesnt have to believe in any god in order to celebrate the birth of someone (Ie. Jesus).

Im an atheist, but I got no problem spending Christmas with people I love.

Sure. Who doesn't like twinkly lights and the smell of pine trees in their home? I know some jews that celebrate it too. We all should celebrate Christmas, because if you want it too, it doesn't need to have anything to do about Jesus anymore. Celebrate Santa, children and your friends and family. Athiests love children too.

Of course! We celebrate for presents and free food the same way Christians do.

If they celebrate Christmas, it's only as a secular holiday.

I personally do not. However, X-mas is a federal holiday; thus it can be celebrated as a secular day. My only concern is that the government feels it necessary to manufacture holy days in the first place.

Christmas isn't about God. It's about presents and family and food. Silly wabbit!

Typically they declare War on it. They try to have all Christmas trees taken down and burned. All presents destroyed by steamroller or vat of acid (whatever is more convenient for their town) and they have Christian families imprisoned for celebrating Christmas privately. Sadly, in the secular world Christians need to worship in secret. It's worse than being a ***** slave to be Christian now!

I don't go to church or celebrate anything religious. But I get two weeks off, so I go home, decorate with lights, buy presents, and visit family. So if that's all xmas is, and that's all it is to us, then yes.

sure they do
they have family that do , and they most likely love and respect their family enough to take part
many of them think on it in its original pagan form also
some just see it as a time to give their love to others
why not ?
