God can change our hearts and minds yes.
When that happens, we see that His will is prevailent over ours.
Meaning, the concept of human will has been overridden by the concept of a Greater Will than ours.
It is necessary to happen because if humans had complete will power and God did not have anything to do with it.
People would claim they made the sun shine, and the rains to fall.
Lol not like they havent already....magicians do that all the time.
And free will? nothing happens to it...it is put to use immediately after God interferes with one of your actions as a test of your faith ofcourse.
everything is a test

Why people are still confused about the whole world - god - reality things.
You are the god. You got bored alone, so you created other things, which was still boring and robotic untill the cocept of free-will was introduced and god created human beings in his/her own image (should I say each of us are tiny part of the whole or part of whole) and the things are interesting and entertaining.
Everything happens for good. You came to this world emptyhanded, and you are going back empty handed. The best you can get out of this life is how much fun and laughter you had while you were here. (After all that is your ultimate goal)

No, God does not do that. Many people change their minds and hearts about God through their own feelings or revelations.

Yes, he changed mine. Free will is a complicated thing. Its more of an illusion. Time is merely the fourth of many dimensions, thus past, present and future are just a cross section of that dimension. Everything that has happened, is happening or is going to happen has already been defined, whatever we choose to do in the end is something that had already been defined.

Not directly but through the power of His Holy word (the Bible).
By reading and studying the Bible you will get to know and understand God better and learn of the inheritance you have now and in the ages to come. You will learn of the thousands of promises of God that are yours and how to appropriate them. God will "speak" to you through His Word (the Bible) and You will learn the will of God for your own life. You will grow in practical and spiritual wisdom and understanding. It will revolutionize your thinking and be your manual for living. It will encourage you during hard times and inspire you to go on. It has God's thoughts on a multitude of subjects which are relevant to our lives today. It speaks of the beginning of human history through our time and the future ahead as well as the future ages to come. It contains information about science {such as the true shape of the earth (unknown to science until 1492 AD), the First Law of Thermodynamics, and the genetic code}, that scientists did not discover until many centuries after the Bible was written.

Free will goes out the window when God decides to harden someone's heart... such as the pharoh when Moses said to free the slaves.
Oh no, not ANOTHER biblical contradiction!!

God "can" do anything He wants.....but what I think He does is open our eyes to His will and the best He has to offer us....whether we accept Him in our lives and accept the changes in our lives that would make that life better is up to us...
Then again, Pastor John Hagee was an avid non-believer until God "struck" him with His truth in a brilliant moment of clarity...so it does happen from time to time.....really wish it would happen for one or two family members of mine!!

He can do anything, but He chooses not to do some things. He'd prefer that you change your mind/heart. For some people He'll make Himself obvious to them and for others He'd want them to learn to walk by faith and make Himself less obvious. Thank Him I changed my mind in time.
