I am specifically looking for demographics on the number of programs that have comprehensive family programs that addres issues of domestic violence. The current ones that I have been able to identify deal with women and children, while the program I'm bringing up includes addressing the issue as a family. Thanks in advance for your input.

actually, demographics mean everything when you are applying for grant money, because that is the first question that the grantors ask. but thank you for your input...

There are a few places I know of to try to research this subject:
National Center for Charitable Statistics: their database is free to search and access - http://nccsdataweb.urban.org/tablewiz/tw_bmf.php

Census Bureau - lots of data available for free here - http://www.census.gov

Demographic Research - I used an article from this site that was helpful once, have no idea if they will be useful to you. http://www.demographic-research.org/

Good luck.

If you are going to set up any program, I suggest anyone to Ask Those Who Will Use The Services; what They need. They also have THE Answers. IMO
demographics are NOTHING.

Try the Annie E. Casey Foundation: http://www.aecf.org/. They should tell you what groups are working there. Also, they might be able to advise you whether you really need to start a group or whether you can work with an existing program.
