Yes - it's not a mental condition but a physical admormality of the brain it's called Prosopagnosia

YES! There is i saw something about it on TV once and it is incredible! I think that Prosopagnosia does cause people to see everyone as a stranger.

Could you be thinking of Alzheimers, or there are other neurological diseases that can be even stranger. There is a book titled "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat: And Other Clinical Tales" by Oliver Sacks. It is very interesting and worth the read.

Ok..this is going to sound crazy but I watched the show 3lbs. (it's abotu brain surgeons) and they talked about a rare disorder of the brain that prevents people from recognizing faces. I'd go to your doctor and discuss it with him/her.

There is not a specific disorder for what you are referring to. There are disorders that would cause that, but they would also cause other types of memory lapses. It might just be a case of CRS disease. ( Can't Remember Sh*t Disease)

might be alzheimer's. it causes you to have trouble remembering who people are, even if you may have known them for all your life. you would also forget places, and things.
