Abstinence is the only 100% contraception, short of surgery to remove the parts.

I have been on the Pill, The Depo Shot, and The Nuva RIng....I personally forgot to take the PILL. The Shot made me gain a TON of weight. The Nuva Ring I think is GOOD! Now that being said,I will let you know that the ring involves you sticking your fingers up there to insert and remove. This is not hard and it can be done! I take my birth control so that I do not have a period...so when I take my ring out, I put the new one in right away leaving no "break" or menstrual period.
As far as the Patches go I have been told that they lose effectiveness once you are over a certain weight.
But all advice aside you should speak with your GYN and he/sshe can direct you in the right way! Be sure to communicate with them that you "really don't like pills"!!

Pills are the most effective but there is a patch and an injection. The pill is very small though and very easy to swallow.

You should discuss your options with your doctor. There are diaphrams, cervical caps, condoms, the depo shot, the nuva ring, the birth control patch, IUDs. Find out which is best for you.

Depo is good. No periods, no pills! It can have long term affects on your bone density however. That is something to be considered.

I loved the patch because you only have to worry about it once a week and there is no inserting anything up there or getting shots involved with it.
