Where can I find a Bible Reading Study Guide?

I am getting ready to start reading the Bible chronologically and I want to take notes as I read. Does anyone have or know where I can get a worksheet of some sort that I can fill out as I read? Also any tips about effective Bible reading would be helpful.

There are many excellent Bibles that have study notes in them. One of the better ones is the Life Application Bible, which encourages you to take notes, and apply the teachings to your daily life.

Other excellent resources are Study Bibles, such as the NIV Study Bible, Nelson's Study Bible, and others.

You can also benefit from having a Bible Handbook with you, such as Halley's or Eerdman's.

i believe there are study bibles that go over the bible chronologically.

In terms of having a worksheet to fill out with your bible reading, my suggestion is to visit a Christian bookstore where you can purchase individual study guides for each book of the Bible (they are probably like $2-$5 each).

Or you can pick up something a bit more comprehensive. i know i picked up a book that has questions for each part of the New Testament (it's for Sunday School Teachers) and it cost about $15.

Keys to effective Bible Reading:

1) Pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to you.

2) Read Consistently.

3) Don't be afraid to ask questions? It's also important that you have Bible-believing brothers and sisters around you who you can discuss difficult Bible passages with. It's also good to attend a Bible study where you can learn from other people and be able to begin to discern what's right and wrong.

4) Apply what you read. There is one passage in John regarding God's word that whoever does something with what he has will receive more. i think the more we obey God's word- the more He shows to us.

Try your Church, if you do not have one I would suggest the Catholic Church and then join a Bible study. Many Catholic Universities also have classes in Scripture Study.There should be a Parish in your neighborhood, where you would get more detailed information to guide you. God bless

If you go to a Christian Bookstore look for a Student Bible, I had one, it really helped. It will guide you through the different passages. For me it was night and day, will really help.

Just study Jesus' words for about a year. Then you can detect those who have corrupted his messages. (Including Paul and his circular reasoning.)
