why is it that our Soldiers have to be prosecuted for killing these PSYCHO IRAQI PEOPLE.? It is not fair because they can just slice our necks off and we have to go by the stupid geneva convention thing. they don't respect our soldiers so why should our soldiers respect them. even the kids over there have ak-47 guns to kill our soldiers.

In case you didn't know, we haven't been obeying the Geneva convention for quite some time. Ever hear about those "Extraordinary Renditions?" Those are illegal. Guantanamo bay? Illegal too!

The thing is that they did not listen to the U.S. Army's OWN RULES, which are called the RULES OF ENGAGEMENT. Those rules state that before firing you must IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET. They just show blindly into crowds of people because they were mad.

Remember Pat Tillman, NFL player? He was killed by his own friends in Afghanistan because they failed to follow the rules of engagement.

The kids also have AK-47s to protect themselves from the chaos that their country is in because we took away their government and means of law and order and replaced it with a weak, shitty government that has little if any control.

Calling all Iraqis Psycho is just ignorant. However, charging these soldiers with something that happened on the battlefield sets a dangerous precedent for future military engagements. It will create hesitation on the part of the American solider. Hesitation in war time leads to soldiers getting killed.

Why are we prosecuting our own soldiers?Because we no longer are willing to realize and admit that in a war zone, there are no innocent bystanders. We believe all the stuff we are fed by the liberal politcians and media who would have you believe that there are no bad guys in the world. Can anyone imagine if we had prosecuted our soldiers during World ll or even World War l ?What were are reasons for the invasion of Europe in either of those two wars?
We are becoming a nation of apologists for those who wish to take away the freedoms of us all.Everyone speaks up when their personal freedoms are infringed, but few are willing to stand up and fight for them. And those who are willing deserve our thanks and gratitude, nothing less.

Do you remember when soldiers were killed, ripped apart and dragged through the streets of baghdad while thousands of iraqis, who just love us, were singing and dancing in the streets. Who cares if they killed civilians, they were probably involved in one way or another with some radical group. You guys should know, you were there right, right?? Oh yeah, i didn't see you guys there. You have no idea just how crappy the conditions are there, they use children strapped with explosives to attack us, children!!! How can we fight as gentleman and fight only positively identified targets. If we did it that way, we would have more losses. You can say i don't value life, maybe i dont, but i do value my life and the lives of my soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines on the ground with me in that craphole called iraq.

It`s weird to prosecute them..first the government sends them into some shitplace only to prosecute them for some occured crap. The US government (or whoever is responsible for prosecution) contradicts themselves with such actions. Ridiculous/idiotic response to an inevitable occurence in war. U.S soldiers are sanctioned by US government to kill... then kill on...There are no rules in war.

Don't generalize too much. There may be a media-led push in this case ( and there may not), but soldiers do commit murder, and trials must be had. If they followed the Rules of Engagement, they'll be fine. And not everybody in the region is a crazed fanatic.

I agree with you.

Maybe it's because I don't value the lives of Iraqi's as much as I do our soldiers, or maybe not. The liberal media is once again saying that those Iraqi's killed were civilians, but they have no idea as to whether or not they were soldiers or not.

Nalak is right on the money!! The Geneva Convention was thrown out the window before the first shot was fired. This was Bush's war and it was executed his way. You do the crime, you do the time, period. War or not.

"The stupid Geneva Convention thing"??????

They broke the law. They killed civilians as retaliation for a soldier's death. They lied about what happened. This wasn't a "battle," it was a revenge killing. One of them was three years old.

if you're referring to Haditha, then you have a very serious problem- you don't care about human life. The military admitted that they were guilty- that wasn't liberal media spin (where is the liberal media anyway? what channel is it on? cause I haven't seen any...)

Should we prosecute murder? I think so...
