I just don't get it... why doesn't he just feed them or drop some bags of rice from an airplane? Or does that mean their reward in heaven is greater? Does that mean my reward in heaven is less because I've always had food and clothes? That's not my fault, my parents worked hard to provide such things for me???

okay so like i notice the Christians are just giving answers that don't answer the question. Just be honest with yourself, stop sugar coating stuff, and tell me the truth! And I am a Christian btw, i just never understood this situation. Can't God stop the leaders from being terrible?

Hey dont get all mad at me and change the question to what am i doing to help. I am helping. I donate money to a missionary in Africa. But as a full-time student with lots of bills, there's only so much i can do. To imply that people are starving merely as a symbolic tool of God's "testing us" is illogical. I think there's more to it than that. You can't just use people to make a point. People have always been starving and no one's learned anything from it. So stop avoiding the question and answer with the truth.

it's not that He doesn't love them. He does. It is the fault of their governments because they do not try to help them. They must rely on outside help as a result. Unfortunately, the majority of Americans have no idea what is going on or don't care. They'd rather buy a new car than help others. Sad but true. Ultimately, God is not at fault, we are. (meaning humanity at large.)

I think Justina asked a fair question. I have yet to see a convincing answer from anyone out there. What god would allow kids to starve like that. What god would allow the horrible unihabitable conditions in some parts of Africa? If he exists and is so wonderful why doesn't he help them with some fertile land and healthy crops. Make food available through nature. Convince me. I'm trying to be open minded.

Another point: When I was twelve years old, my parents had a dinner guest and before dinner she insisted that we say "grace." My parents were appalled that their guest had just thanked god for her food. My point is, my parents put the food on the table. If she and her believers continue to thank their god for the food, doesn't that imply that this god is providing the food for people. Then why not provide some for the starving children.

IS IT BECAUSE HE DOESN'T EXIST OR DOES HE HAVE A REALLY CRUEL SENSE OF HUMOR?

Its the nature of things here on earth..

some are old....some young..

some are rich...some poor

some are healthy ..some are not.

They all have their respective duties on the planet.

If we werent poor, the rich wouldnt have the need to share and reach out and help.

If we were healthy all the time, people would not develop the concept of mercy towards each other.

If we were always successful, there wouldnt be the need to improve on our existence.

Thus, without the highs and lows of life, there wouldnt be the need for all this.

We are here to learn.

Take a deep breath and be couragious to face the realities.

And oh btw, on a recent study, the happiest country in the world was found to be Nigeria ^^

when they asked them what made them so happy, a man on the street said, we can dance and sing and we have God, why shouldnt we be happy?

Well, it's either because he doesn't love all people, or he doesn't exist, right? Because if he loves all people he wouldn't let innocents suffer. Since he can do anything, he could make the world full of peace, love and eliminate suffering...if he existed.

The Bible says ask and you shall receive, so let's all form a prayer circle right now and ask that all the starvation in Africa stop immediately. If he exists, he will have to do this since he told us he would in the Bible. So any second now, the starving should stop....

You said , Your parents worked hard for you. You have answered your own question. In Africa and other places around the world there is great need of food and clothes. Why do you blame God for other people's inability to provide for themselves ? Our country has relief programs to help the needy. Welfare groups and many wonderful Charities. Un-fortunately, many Governments don't give a rats as-, for the well being of their poor people. Africa falls into that catagory. America has helped many starving countries, only to get a good swift kick in the hinder. Africa needs to help their people. Many of them don't even know God.

Dear God, hope you got the letter, and...
I pray you can make it better down here.
I don't mean a big reduction in the price of beer
but all the people that you made in your image,
see them starving on their feet
'cause they don't get enough to eat from God,

Dear God, sorry to disturb you, but...
I feel that I should be heard loud and clear.
We all need a big reduction in amount of tears
and all the people that you made in your image,
see them fighting in the street
'cause they can't make opinions meet about God,

Did you make disease, and the diamond blue?
Did you make mankind after we made you? And the devil too!

Dear God, don't know if you noticed, but...
your name is on a lot of quotes in this book,
and us crazy humans wrote it, you should take a look,
and all the people that you made in your image
still believing that junk is true.
Well I know it ain't, and so do you, dear God,
I can't believe in
I don't believe in

I won't believe in heaven and hell.
No saints, no sinners, no devil as well.
No pearly gates, no thorny crown.
You're always letting us humans down.
The wars you bring, the babes you drown.
Those lost at sea and never found,
and it's the same the whole world 'round.
The hurt I see helps to compound
that Father, Son and Holy Ghost
is just somebody's unholy hoax,
and if you're up there you'd perceive
that my heart's here upon my sleeve.
If there's one thing I don't believe in

it's you...

WE'RE JUST ONE TINY DUST OF SAND IN THE UNIVERSE... . YOU THINK WE HAVE THE RIGHTS TO QUESTION THE SUPREME CREATOR?... LET GOD'S WILL PREVAIL...

cuz God does not exist, Wake up, whats next ? Why dindt Santa deliver me presents since I moved out? People starve in Africa because the african race never bothered to evolve their culture and way of life and now they are paying for it. Sure the white man raped their land and daughters but thats another story. Listen I am not racist but thing is I live in Africa and black people just plain dont like to work. generalization yeah but watcha gona do.

Excellent question. It is one of the most difficult challenges to the argument for the existence of an all-powerful god.

That is, what kind of god would allow evil and suffering if she doesn't have to do so? The answer can only be: an evil god.

Such a god would not have to allow free will to be evil (which would leave us all ignorantly happy and pain-free), and would not have to allow the opposite of happiness and goodness at all (as some keep incorrectly responding that good things can only exist if their opposite also exists).

Also, you are to be congratulated for seeing through the non-answers of so many of your fellow theists. You appear to be one of those rare theists who uses reason and critical thinking.

Jesus said that before Heaven could be on Earth, MAN must change.

It is up to man to decide how the world will be. God has tried to help by giving us a path that we choose not to take.

If man opens his heart to God, then the Love of God would flow from man.

The Bible tells US, humans, to share what we have with those that have not.

I've thought about that alot-I truly don't know-why is the AIDS epidemic being solved by God also-AIDS is outta control in India and Africa and God doesn't seem to mind -Maybe because We think of God as a Being-maybe God is everything and everywhere so we have got to figure these things out ourselves-that's why we have brains
