I am not racist, but that is one of the reason why I don't date them because they always want to go half and half on everything. I have a friend who has dated African American men before, and she said she was always emabarrased at restaurants or any where they went out because she always finish paying for him. I don't want to be offensive I just want to know. I am not talking about all African American Men so please don't gett offensive about it.

Well maybe your friend is dating losers. I don't think it has to do with African American men in general. Maybe she needs to reevaluate the types of men she is attracted to and get with someone that has a good job and can afford to pay for the whole date. Don't stereotype black men as "Cheapos" because I'm sure white, spanish, asian and indian men are stingy too. I don't see whats wrong with going half on everything. If your in a relationship with someone it should be 50/50. But if your dating someone then I believe the man should pay.

Well, i'm not african american, but I can tell you this, it has nothing to do with the fact that they are african american, some men are like that and some aren't.
Maybe, due to the fact that maybe your friend isn't dating the right type of guy she keeps having the same results. But it doesn't have to do with the race, it has more to do with the job he had and that maybe they are selfinsh and don't want to waste their money.

i think it may be because the men are not financially in the position to pay for dates. Maybe if you found your black men at a more prestigious place like on a good paying job. One that pays more than minimum wage and make sure he doesn't have baby mama's to pay along with other financial problems then I'm sure the brother will be able to pay for a date...the whole date. I find this to be with all men though. And I'm not offended because my brother swears by coupon dates. And up until recently my husband due to his constant love for payday loans bought most of our products from the family dollar store. But I have worked with and met all other flavors as cheap and broke (or frugal) as them. I think some black men are taught that it's a GOOD thing to save money by their mothers because alot of them were raised very poor and they have a deep fear of not having any money. But try college graduates with good jobs and good credits they usually won't mind paying for the whole dinner but you got to be ready to be his equal. Stay in school and not just settle for a high school diploma or even a degree go for that doctorate. Cause eating at good restaurants are expensive nowadays girl.

Well, I wouldn't say it was just African American men. There are cheap bastards in every race. I know that you are just speaking from your personal experience with black men so I am not offended.
