Doesn't siblings giving birth often result in genetic defects? ... or didn't God create that yet?

Well logically they were no one else besides their siblings to marry (and they got MARRIED, not only sex). And in Islam, I am taught that they were born in twins, and the man of the 1st set of twins gets married to the woman from the 2nd set of twins, and the woman from the 1st married to the man of the 2nd.

I believe that genetic defects nowadays -as you mentioned it- are, yes, given by God to show it is unjust to do incest.

Just a thought. But this stuff is so overrated :)

This question perfectly shows how full of crap the Bible is and how much better off we would be without it. If all Human life started out with this much incest we'd all have two heads and five arms and so forth. It's time to put the bible away and use the brains nature gave us.

Ah, the roots of white-trash fundamentalist Christianity. Eden was not perfect for Adam and Eve because God did not provide them with farm animals and family pets to have sex with. That is the reason they left - there was no bestiality in the Garden of Eden.

Adam and Eve were a couple. They had no reson to get involved with someone else.
Where did Cain get his wife if there was just one family?

Gen. 3:20: “Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she had to become the mother of everyone living.” (So all humans were to be the offspring of Adam and Eve.)

Gen. 5:3, 4: “Adam lived on for a hundred and thirty years. Then he became father to a son in his likeness, in his image, and called his name Seth. And the days of Adam after his fathering Seth came to be eight hundred years. Meanwhile he became father to sons and daughters.” (One of Adam’s sons was Cain, and one of Adam’s daughters must have become Cain’s wife. At that time in human history when humans still had outstanding physical health and vitality, as indicated by the length of their lives, the likelihood of passing on defects as a result of marrying a close relative was not great. After some 2,500 years of human history, however, when mankind’s physical condition had greatly deteriorated, Jehovah gave to Israel laws forbidding incest.)

Gen. 4:16, 17: “Cain went away from the face of Jehovah and took up residence in the land of Fugitiveness [or, Nod] to the east of Eden. Afterward Cain had intercourse with his wife [“knew his wife,” that is, intimately so, KJ, RS; “lay with his wife,” NE] and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch.” (Notice that Cain did not first meet his wife in the land to which he fled, as if she were from another family. Rather, it was there that he had sexual relations with her to produce a son.)

Adam and Eve don't need to have sex with their children to reproduce.

Adam and Eve's children need to have sex with their brothers and sisters to reproduce, unless they choose non-Adamic spouses (Cain and his wife?).

Adam and Eve's grandchildren don't need to have sex with their brothers and sisters to reproduce.

As for children borne with defects, they're the nephilim. Crossbreeding can be bad.

Noah's children have their own wives. Noah's children and grandchildren don't need to have sex with their brothers and sisters to reproduce.

If you read Genesis ch 1 and 2 very close you will see that god "in his image created them. Male and female he created them, and blessed them, and sent them forth to multiply" BEFORE he created Adam in the garden of eden.

I believe the bible tells us that god made many people, then he made the garden of eden, then he made adam and put him in that garden because was special. I don't know why people think god only made adam and eve when the bible clearly tells us different.

They all had sex with each other. And yes, there is proof of this!!!
Ever walk into the kitchen and forget why you went there in the first place? That's because of the incest of our ancestors. I hate them for that.

no sex with Children, just sex with brothers/sisters, Abel even killed Kane to marry his woman (or maybe it was the other way around?)

Incest: a game the whole family can play.

You know that Noah and his family had to go through the same process. Jehova must like watching incest porn if he ordered it twice.
