Here's the story: We are in our 20's (mid to late) He lives in France, I live in California.
He is the sweetest guy I have ever met, and it seems genuine to me because we have known each other for a while as very close friends so we have a mutual respect for one another. He somehow seems to know what I'm thinking (which is very odd to me) and he has said some of the sweetest things to me, like how he thinks I deserve to be treated like treasure, how much he cares for me, we can talk about everything and tell all of our secrets, his kisses are the best and most tender. Basically we just click, and he has told me how much he values our connection...but we are not in a clear relationship (not boyfriend/girlfriend). To me, it seems like this kind of special connection doesn't come by often...so I wish he would want to take the next step. But we just haven't, he has said that he doesn't want to disapoint me. Yet he tells me that he has never had the same kind of feelings with someone.

Also, we do try to see eachother as much as possible. And each time is great, and then we miss each other and can't wait until the next time. It's like being in a state of limbo that is quite frustrating!! He seems like he is in love though, I mean how many men stay up all night wanting to know everything about you and treating a girl like a princess??

I agree give it time. Don't rush into things. You say he doesn't want to disappoint you and that you want to take the next step right? What exactly does the next step involve? Is it declaring your love for one another and either him moving to California or you moving to France? Are you willing to take that next step if that's what it involves. Leaving everything that is familiar behind to connect with someone on a higher level like you never had before?

Maybe his feelings are the same but he doesn't want to disappoint you because he may like you in that way but not be ready to take that step and make it an international long distance affair. I hope this helps.

He may not be the best looking boy in the world. Any pic that he may have sent you may have not been him. Beware of long distance relationships.....they seldom work out....but it's not like they're not impossible. So be patient, let things work themselves out. Also open communication will be the key to longevity with this. I wish you the best of luck with him. Merry Christmas.
