one "dumb priest" (or "a friend"), one science teacher with blinders on, and one priest that at least knows the first two chapters of Genesis.
Learn from your science teacher HOW to answer questions on tests and exams so you can pass your courses. And then do true science, including the weaknesses of what "science" says.
Learn from a helpful minister/priest/rabbi as to WHAT the Bible actually says. Decide whether you can believe what God has said; I mean, when you stand at the Pearly Gates you will be asked the most important question ever ... God asks "why should I let YOU into MY heaven". [Well, actually it may not happen quite like that, but what you believe will determine where you spend eternity.]
What you do with what you believe can determine how much help (if any) you can be to humanity!!

Do your exam on why the theory of evaluation(evolving from apes)has been proven wrong(research "the missing link"), then research your belief's(refer to the Bible) and then find other theory's such as; coming from clay, coming from the ocean, coming from bacteria, big bang theory(I think some of those go together)ect,.... and do a comparison on what makes the most since to YOU. After all, that's what scientist do, consider all outcomes and make a conclusion.
Just a suggestion though......If you wanna be a "science person" than maybe you shouldn't try to find the "easy way" and actually TRY.
I mean, do you think any real scientist got to research cancer and AIDS by going the easy wrought?

Evolution and religion are not in conflict to the reasoning mind. Open your mind to what science is teaching, then add a measure of what is learned through the philosophy of religion to fill in some gaps. A reasoning mind knows that creation did not happen in 6 days nor did all humanity come from Adam and Eve.

First of all let us correct the "dumb priest" why would you call a Theologian a name like that. He has a degree in Theology. A scientist has a degree in science, and should we therefore call him dumb as well ? Of course not. Just because someone has still much to learn we do not cal them dumb. Those are two theories, The Creationism , vs the scientific Big Bang theory. You need to learn about each one and decide which you want to believe in . I personally believe in God and Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. When you study the Scriptures, you will get to know your Creator, better.

There is nothing that says you must throw your mind in the trash can to believe in creationism. My professor is a researcher for Alzheimer's disease and studies cell death in brain tumor cells. While I believe in creation and a young earth model, creationism and evolution are two very different sciences. One assumes God made the earth in 6 literal days, and the world was consumed by a great flood. We share a common ancestry in Adam and Eve. The other assumes the earth is billions of years old and everything shares a common ancestor (warmed over pond scum). Follow the truth set forth in scripture. Follow your heart.

Option 1: Preach the religion thing and get out of class, thus guaranteeing yourself a good grade because it would be against your religion to learn this.
Option 2: Take the hard road, actually learn what the teacher has to say, and pass the class through good merits of knowledge.
Option 3: Have your mom call you out of school for the days you have that class.
Option 4: Argue with your teacher until he teaches Intelligent Design with Evolution....

Science and knowledge is hard, but to be a scientist is to face hard facts even if you don't want to. I'm not telling you what to believe, but you will fail if you write the Genesis story into the test. Go back and reveiw the material and talk to the teacher (your understanding of the theory is pretty weak).

Combine the Bible AND science. Who do you think created all the elements that make UP everything used in the study of science and that can be discovered for the cures in medical science? GOD did! Science and the Bible are in perfect harmony with each other; it's only when scientists (certain of them) try to discount God from the equation that things don't make sense any more! Yourself. Now that you've listened to both sides, come up with your own conclusion. Either way, you can still be a doctor to help with cancer or AIDS. There are Christian scientist and doctors, so don't worry. Even Michelangelo and Di Vinci were scientific, religious, and artistic people. All in all, you have to be yourself and find your own answers with life's questions.
